How to shoot apples under various lights?

In order to get credit, I took a photography class at school in the summer vacation. There are four homework items in our class. This article is about the first project, which is to shoot the same object.

After all, it is an introductory project of photography, so the requirement of the first project is actually very simple, that is, shooting an object, and other hard requirements are the same. At least 90 selected photos and 6 finished products need to be copied to a mobile hard disk and handed in. In addition to the first project, the following projects need to print six finished products.

In class, the teacher showed us the works of our predecessors, most of which were just so-so, and some of them were quite interesting. After all, it is only the new work of the first project, and the quality is inevitable.

Shooting plan:

Before shooting the project, we must first establish a shooting plan, or what we want to shoot, which is not only the requirement of every shooting operation, but also the specification of the shooting process.

First of all, our subjects had better have certain characteristics, or stories; Secondly, it is best for the subject to have a wonderful "interaction" with the surrounding shooting environment. Simply put, the shape and material of the object refracts and reflects the light source; Finally, the location and time of shooting need to be studied. In fact, these two elements mainly affect color and light.

At first, I prepared a picture that can be erected, in which is a blue bird, intending to create a virtual scene of "there should be birds here" and a metal apple timer.

When I was in Shoot for the first time, I found that the metal apple timer is much more convenient than bird painting, especially the angle can be switched at will. Obviously, the expressive force of frames from different angles is slightly weak.

More importantly, metal apples are easier to put into my camera bag or even my pocket, and they are resistant to dirt and moisture, which I later found to be very important.

After determining the object, it is the determination of time and place.

Time I want to choose six times or lights of the day, namely sunrise, noon, 4pm, sunset, artificial light and cloudy day (in fact, I should choose night, such as Apple and Astro, but due to the limitation of time and place, I can only compromise).

As for the location, I tentatively set it as the viaduct where I usually run and a park near Lake Erie. These two places can conveniently and safely photograph sunrises and sunsets.

When shooting:

On the afternoon after class, I drove directly to Lake Erie, set up a tripod and found that, alas, something seemed to be wrong.

Where should I put my apple?

I put it on the table by the roadside and found that the effect was not ideal, so I walked along the lake and wanted to photograph the apples on the shore.

As a result, I found some stones by the lake. Because the tripod is too high, I have to put the camera directly on it, with the aperture first, set the iso to the lowest, the aperture to 4, and then Duang~

There is a kind of fruit of wisdom, which has aroused a stir in the world. Not bad.

However, after the above picture was taken, the apple was swept into the water by a wave. At this time, I think it would be wiser not to choose a painting at that time.

The next day came out. I remember it was about 6 o'clock that day. I get up at 5 o'clock and arrive at the viaduct where I usually run an hour before sunrise.

At first, I wanted to shoot apples with a macro lens, and then all that was left was the car streamer under the viaduct. But I found that if I didn't blur, I could barely see the streamer, but if I didn't blur the apple, it wouldn't be so three-dimensional and I had to give up.

Seeing the sun rising gradually, I felt that I couldn't spend too much youth in the same place, so I immediately raised my tripod and moved my position.

Then, I was lucky to find that the sun was just higher than the doormen on both sides of the expressway, and the oblique sunshine was very soft, so I Duang~

But what excites me most is that on the way back to the car, I actually saw an unknown fungus next to the car. The sun shone just right and the picture was full of sense-

In fact, the most difficult thing is to shoot at noon, because there is no natural filter in direct sunlight, so I finally gave up.

The rest, have a plenty of time to play in a friend's house, have a plenty of artificial light source in the school studio:

After shooting:

After the shooting, we will pack the works and give them a name. This time my name is "an apple a day", and then we have to hand in an art statement. In class, we will explain our own works under the guidance of the teacher and comment on the works of other students.

My exact words this time are:

This is a series of photos taken at different times of the day and under different lighting conditions. These photos start from chasing the sun in the morning and end at sunset. I tried to experiment with different effects and different angles to present this metallic apple time r. On the one hand, the properties of the timer fit the changes of time and light. On the other hand, the shape of apple shows the meaning of life in metaphor. In a word, it shows the changing picture of life.

I try to make apple gifts more emotional and powerful. The most obvious is Yoyo ~ sunset. Water waves make it look like small water drops falling from the air, and the power presented pushes the water and makes it full of movement. Another example is good morning, Apple! . I put it in front of the rising sun with my hand and use it as a metaphor to embrace the coming sunshine life.

abstract

1 The tripod is really stable. But sometimes the tripod is too high. At this time, the octopus tripod will come in handy, but I personally prefer to put the camera directly on the ground, because in many cases, the lower the plane position, the more shocking the landscape photos will be. Wipe it clean when it is dirty.

2 It is best to shoot the sunset near home, especially if you drive alone, because you will be very tired and weak at this time, and it will be better to have a warm breakfast, and the temperature difference in the morning in the north is large, so you need to pay attention to keep warm;

3 Sometimes if you are not sure whether the angle looks good or not, take a picture first, because the light will change at any time;

I'd rather the photos are dark, so I can pull them later. If it is too bright, it is difficult to pull it back.

It is important to focus clearly, and always have a remote control.

The above is my first photography lesson homework shooting experience, I think it is very good to collect and share a little praise!
