What are the techniques to control the depth of field?
What are foreground depth of field and background depth of field?
In this clear range, the range before the focus (between cameras) is called the foreground depth of field, and the range after the focus is called the back depth of field. The background depth of field is greater than the foreground depth of field.
What is a focal plane?
The plane where the focal point is located and parallel to the camera (perpendicular to the optical axis) is called the focal plane. On the focal plane, all objects are clear, and the degree of clarity is the same as the focus position. So when three people stand side by side, perpendicular to the central axis of your camera, you don't have to worry about who the focus should be on.
What's the difference in depth of field?
Large depth of field: it means that all objects, foreground and background in the picture are very clear. Suitable for shooting architectural, landscape, environment, environmental portraits, documentary and other categories of photographic subjects.
Small depth of field: also known as depth of field. Refers to the extremely small clear range in the picture, with blurred foreground and background. Common macro photography and still life photography are mostly like this, and portraits can also be taken. It plays a role in blurring the background, highlighting the main body and creating an artistic atmosphere. It is especially suitable when the background is chaotic.
What is object distance?
Object distance refers to the distance between the camera and the subject.
Ok, after learning the basic skills, we began to learn the big moves.
Three methods of controlling depth of field
★ Aperture: The larger the aperture, the smaller the depth of field; The smaller the aperture, the greater the depth of field.
★ focal length: the longer the focal length, the smaller the depth of field; The longer the focal length, the smaller the depth of field.
★ Object distance: The shorter the object distance, the smaller the depth of field; The longer the object distance, the smaller the depth of field.
Precautions:
Close-ups and busts are easy to blur, and the whole body is not easy to blur. Do you know why? )
S and ISO have no effect on depth of field.

Three measures to control the depth of field
★ The farther the subject is from the background, the smaller the depth of field; The closer the subject is to the background, the greater the depth of field. For example, if the model stands 50 meters away from the wall, the wall will be blurred when facing the model; When the model has her back to the wall, the wall is not easy to blur.
★ Fixed focus lens is easier to exaggerate the depth of field effect than zoom lens. A fixed-focus lens with a long focal length and a large aperture is easier to obtain a small depth of field, and a wide-angle lens with a small aperture is easier to obtain a large depth of field. There's no doubt about that, right? As for why it will be discussed in detail in the lens article.
★ When the brightness of the background is higher than that of the subject, the background is more likely to be blurred. Because the background will be brighter.
To sum up:
★ In order to obtain the minimum depth of field, you need a long focal length, a large aperture and a fixed-focus lens, which is close to the subject and far from the background, and the background is brighter.
★ In order to get the maximum depth of field, you need: wide angle, small aperture, far away from the subject, close to the background, dark background, etc.
Of course, you don't have to do all these things, and any two can achieve the effect of depth of field.
