In the high temperature and rainy limestone area, the water pressure in underground cracks is very high, and the solubility of carbon dioxide gas increases with the increase of pressure, and carbon dioxide gas dissolves in water to produce carbonic acid. When this solution passes through the underground limestone laminar flow, it reacts with water-insoluble calcium carbonate to generate water-soluble calcium bicarbonate. The reaction formula is H2O+CO2+CaCO3 = Ca (HCO3) 3, and caves are formed. When an aqueous solution containing a large amount of calcium bicarbonate flows to an open place or is affected by temperature, calcium bicarbonate decomposes: Ca (HCO3) 3 = H2O+CO2 ↑+CaCO3 ↓ forms insoluble calcium carbonate, and long-term deposition will form magnificent stalactites.
Technical introduction (including usage):
1. Put the product model on a horizontal platform.
2. Pour the calcium carbonate solution in the glass bottle into the upper water storage tank of the product, and the water will drip slowly along the stalactites, thus forming stalactites.
Matters needing attention
1. The product cannot be inverted. Strictly prevent gravity from hitting or colliding with the product, so as to prevent the product from being broken or deformed and unable to be used.
2. Calcium carbonate water can be reused. Please collect it in time after each demonstration.
