The first professional armed helicopter in China-Wuzhi-10

China's first professional armed helicopter-Wuzhi-10 Since the new century, China's military industry has developed very rapidly, and various new weapons and equipment have emerged one after another. However, in the field of armed helicopters, it seems that nothing has been done. The total number of helicopters deployed by the PLA ground forces for a long time is far from meeting the needs of modern operations. So under such circumstances, China developed the first professional armed helicopter of China People's Liberation Army, Wuzhi -6544.

This Wuzhi 10 was officially put into active service in 20 12. On August 6, 20 16, the installation of PLA Army Aviation was completed.

Some detailed data of this helicopter have not been made public. What we can know is that Wuzhi-10 adopts a typical western armed helicopter configuration with a five-blade main rotor. The rotating direction of the propeller is different from the clockwise direction designed by the west.

The configuration of this Wuzhi-10 PTZ photoelectric instrument is similar to that of AH64 in the United States. The rotating tower in the center of the nose is large, and there are a set of photoelectric observation windows on the left and right, and there are infrared thermal influence meters, laser rangefinders, TV cameras and other equipment inside, which can be used by gunners to aim at fire control.

Moreover, the avionics configuration of this helicopter is also very advanced. The cockpit adopts advanced vitrification design, uses a large number of liquid crystal flat panel displays, has advanced flight and finger tube communication fire control systems, and integrates graphical interface functions. The navigation system includes GPS/GLONASS digital map.

In terms of armed design, this Wuzhi-10 is equipped with a short-range air-to-air missile specially designed for the Tian Yan -90 helicopter launched by China in 2002. This Tian Yan air-to-air missile has a body length of 1900 mm, a body diameter of 1 mm, a body weight of 20 kg, a maximum range of 6 km, a maximum shooting height of 6 km and a maximum flying speed of 2 HP.

This Tian Yan air-to-air missile can attack a target with a head-on attack speed of 400 meters per second or chase a target with an attack speed of 320 meters. It uses cold indium antimonide infrared beacon and built-in digital signal processor, which has the ability of omnidirectional attack, infrared bait discrimination and off-axis emission.

In addition, Wuzhi-10 can also be equipped with weapons that communicate with Zhi -9W * *, including Red Arrow 8-line guided anti-tank missiles, 7-tube rocket launching nests or 32-tube rocket launching nests. With anti-armor, close fire support and the ability to deal with various soft and hard targets, these advanced weapon systems can provide sufficient firepower.

Generally speaking, the comprehensive performance of this Wuzhi-10 is very high, which is also of great significance to the China People's Liberation Army. It is the first professional armed helicopter of China People's Liberation Army and the first professional armed helicopter independently developed by Asian countries.

It ended the long-term dependence of the PLA Army Air Force on the French Dolphin Helicopter as an armed helicopter, greatly improved the air assault and anti-armor capability of the PLA Army Air Force, and was the pioneer of the armed helicopter in China, which was of milestone significance in the military history of China.
