How does Rhino model the concept ring jewelry? Rhino modeling concept ring jewelry course

Rhino is a good 3D modeling tool. Although it is only tens of megabytes in size, it does not require much hardware. But it contains all the NURBS modeling functions, which is the main reason why rhino is popular. Everyone likes to use it to make high-precision models for other 3D software. If you are also engaged in 3D design, you must learn to use Rhino software. Rhino not only has low requirements for computers, but also is very simple to use. You can learn to use it through self-study. The Basic Course of Rhino Industrial Design and Modeling is a very good self-study course, and many self-study rhinoceros friends are watching it.

Part 1: Drawing the shape of three-dimensional ring unit.

Step 1: Draw a closed curve.

Use control point curves to draw a hexagonal pattern of closed curves in the top view.

Then what we need to do is to align the hexagonal grid on the four endpoints of the rectangular frame, and the four endpoints are also in the center of the hexagon.

Trim after alignment. First select all the objects in the whole box, then click the pruning tool, and then click the unnecessary parts to finish pruning. Finally, as shown in the figure below:

Rounding the sharp corners of the hexagon as a whole, framing and selecting the parts to be chamfered, and then clicking all the fillets to complete in one step.

Then we use the extrusion tool, give it a thickness, generate the following hexagonal grid, and fill a face for the rectangular wireframe:

Part III: Generating hexagonal grid elements.

Click the Flow along Surface tool and notice the command box above. First, click the object flowing along the surface (that is, the planar hexagonal grid body), then click the datum plane (that is, the rectangular plane below), and then click the target surface (irregular ring body). Finally, the grid will be installed on the ring body in a seamless manner.

Hide the curved ring, and you will get the hexagonal cell grid as shown below. At this point, basically the most critical part of the whole work has been completed.

Then, draw a curve and follow the curve array to generate this work.

The obtained works are shown in the following figure:

Part IV: Rendering and Coloring

We can directly pull the model into the KEYSHOT, give it a gradient map, and then we can complete the gradient color effect.

In PS, we can use the gradient tool to make texture pictures.

Finally, the renderings of the works are as follows:

In addition, Rhino modeling software can be used flexibly on this basis, so don't stick to this idea, such as using other colors for coloring.
