Shooting skills of mobile phone photography

With the increasing resolution of mobile phone camera, professional lens and editing applications are increasing, and mobile phone photography is more popular and concerned by the public. In addition to the hardware conditions of the mobile phone camera itself, the photographer's shooting level is undoubtedly an important factor restricting its imaging effect. Here, we have compiled the shooting skills of 14 mobile phone photography to help novices take photos as good as digital cameras and SLR cameras. The following are my mobile phone photography skills, welcome to read for reference!

1. Know your equipment.

Here I want to talk about the shooting height. If you photograph such people, you have to bend over or squat down to suit their height. The object doesn't have to look at the camera casually and naturally, so that the eyes at a certain angle have a personalized and touching feeling. Eyes are the most important. After all, the definition of mobile phone is not very high. It is best to capture the most vivid part of the object you want to shoot. I don't care if the picture is deformed or not, and I don't care if the picture is clear. Expressing the thoughts of the characters in your picture is the real meaning.

2. Repair the phone skillfully

Because the shutter speed is slow, it will swing weakly. However, you can find a fulcrum and set your mobile phone to take pictures regularly, which can also prevent weakness. Fix the phone with a wallet or a drink can, set the shooting time, and press the shutter. Or look for railings, flower beds or low walls around and lean your elbows on them as support points, so that your hands will be more stable.

Use photography software

The good news is that mobile phones now have many photography applications to help users overcome the limitations of devices. For example, the Camera+ and Camera Awesome applications of Apple's iOS system have functions such as grid tools, color gradient, image editing and exposure, and focus control. They can not only provide various filters, but also provide an interface to help users quickly upload and share pictures to social media sites. In addition, Adobe's Photoshop, PhotoForge 2 and NIK's SnapSeed (for iOS and Android) are also good photography or editing applications.

4. The exposure should be accurate

Only when the exposure is accurate can the photographer finally get a good photo effect, whether it is a mobile phone camera or a digital SLR camera. An improperly exposed photo, even with powerful editing applications and filters, the exposure of the photo will not change. Therefore, we should pay special attention to the correct exposure when shooting, and don't pin it on the special effects in the later period.

For mobile phone cameras, better photos can often be taken when there is sufficient outdoor light, but we should also be patient in finding the most suitable light. When the light in the shadow is insufficient, you can use white paper to reflect the light, or use a flashlight and other mobile phone screens as supplementary light sources, and use all your knowledge to get the best light as much as possible. Use the flash of your smartphone only as a last resort.

5. Writing is king

Only a good composition can make a unique photo. Find the right subject, slightly stagger the subject scene from the center in the actual photographic composition, and pay attention to the echo of the subject and other objects. It is unrealistic to take a panoramic view with a mobile phone, and the effect will not be so good. Taking into account some unique composition, shooting close to reality or shooting only a part of the object, you can take some distinctive photos. Mobile phone photography, like any professional equipment photography, should pay attention to the following composition problems:

Keep Horizontal-Check that the horizontal and vertical lines in the picture are correct. Many mobile phone applications have a horizontal horizon and a grid as a reference. )

The rule of thirds-putting the subject in about one third of the picture makes people feel that the picture is harmonious and full of beauty.

Use curve composition and diagonal composition with perspective effect.

Handle the relationship between photosensitive surface and backlight surface.

Use complementary colors, and use color patterns and shapes to increase the interest of the picture.

Note that the background is simple. Don't let people and things with messy backgrounds spoil the picture in the phone lens.

6. Pictures should be layered

When choosing photographic pictures, we should fully consider the master-slave relationship between foreground, middle scene, background and subject. For example, the subject is placed in the foreground of the lens, while the background is blurred by depth. Or shoot the subject through windows, mirrors, etc. This can increase the meaning and interest of photos. Nowadays, many camera phones take the route of 2.0 large aperture, which can better combine virtual and real shooting and make the picture more layered.

7. The use of light makes it a blockbuster.

Mobile phone cameras, like cameras, have high requirements for light, especially mobile phones. In the case that the basic configuration hardware is not as good as the camera, we can create a high-quality light environment for them to take good photos. Usually try to avoid shooting in backlight. You need to change the shooting angle at any time and pay attention to the direction of light irradiation. You can follow the light, so that the photographed object can be naturally illuminated by the light, and the light incident from the side can highlight the texture of the object, so make full use of the side light. If it is inevitable, you can use an object to block the backlight or side backlight, or just block it by hand next to the camera to reduce the influence of backlight. Of course, if you want to pursue the effect of backlight, you can also add some later stages.

8. Change the shooting angle

Photography lovers can look for different shooting angles to break the oneness of the picture. Try from multiple angles, such as front, side, head-up, looking up, etc. This will add interest to your photography. Compared with those bulky cameras, a small mobile phone won't be a burden to you, but it has other advantages. It can be moved and carried better, allowing you to take photos that the camera can't touch. Don't be afraid to fall to the ground or climb on the windowsill. It can let you get close to and focus on the details of the subject, or take a bird's eye view of a wider and more far-reaching place and get a good photo that is rarely seen at ordinary times.
