How to protect the camera in seaside photography
There are many precautions when taking pictures at the seaside. Many photographers are always ashamed to take pictures at the seaside, or they are too careful when taking pictures, which wastes many opportunities. Seawater is corrosive because of its salt content, and it is easy to damage the machine when splashed on the fuselage. In fact, the damage of seawater to the camera is not so exaggerated. Take protective measures before shooting, clean it up in time after shooting, and clean it up in time before the seawater condenses into salt particles and causes damage.
Before shooting, be sure to add an ultraviolet filter (UV mirror) in front of the lens to prevent fine sand from being blown into the lens by the wind, so as not to scratch the lens during cleaning. The air at the seaside is humid and corrosive, so after you come back from the seaside, you should clean the lens and fuselage of the camera in time, wipe the fuselage with a wet cloth, and then put it in a cool place to dry the camera.
What if the camera falls into the water?
When the camera falls into the water, many people's first reaction is to take it out and open it to see if it is broken. In fact, this is completely wrong. Wet water will enter the camera with the action of pressing the button and damage the circuit. The correct operation method is to take out the battery and memory card immediately without turning on the machine, and then choose different treatment methods according to the water inflow.
If ordinary water enters the camera and it is relatively small, we can put the camera in a dry place to dry, or put it near the desk lamp to dry. Don't use a hair dryer, it will cause the aging of the camera shell and wiring. Please wait eight to ten hours before starting the machine for inspection. If there is any abnormality at this time, please shut down immediately and send it to after-sales service for maintenance.
If seawater or other liquids enter the camera, such as drinks, or the whole camera falls into clean water, please do not hesitate to take out the battery and memory card immediately and send the digital camera to a professional for maintenance. The chemicals in these liquids will cause corrosion and damage to the circuit, making the camera unusable, so it must be disposed of in time.
Another situation is that when taking pictures in the rain, the rain pours into the camera. Some acidic substances contained in the rain will accumulate on the camera after the water vapor evaporates, which will lead to the unstable function of the camera. This situation needs us to send it to the after-sales department for handling.
How to protect the camera in mountaineering photography
People say that infinite scenery is at its peak, and many people like to go out with digital cameras, and mountaineering enthusiasts are no exception. But mountaineering is an intense physical activity, so it is inconvenient to carry mountaineering equipment. At this time, you need to pay special attention to taking measures to protect your camera.
First of all, it is best to choose a backpack when climbing mountains. The straps of the backpack should have enough sponge, not too thin width, and the seams should be tightly sewn. Secondly, you should wear special hiking shoes when climbing the mountain to avoid the camera bumping caused by unstable steps. Finally, you should carry a hood and an ultraviolet lens for the camera lens to avoid the lens being stained by dust and plant juice. It's best to wear gloves when shooting, so as not to dirty the fuselage. Don't touch the camera with dirty hands, it should be a habit that every photographer must develop. If you are an ordinary photographer, you don't need special professional mountaineering bags and equipment. Just prepare a small camera bag, which can hold digital cameras and accessories you need to carry.
How to protect the camera in outdoor low temperature environment in winter
Too high temperature or too cold environment will bring some influence to the use of digital cameras. For example, we suddenly went from a moderate temperature indoor to a cold outdoor. Due to the sudden change of temperature, the hot air inside the digital camera will condense immediately, which will affect the flexibility of the shutter and lens. At this time, we need to do something about the digital camera, such as putting it in our coat when we go out and taking it out when we need to take pictures. Reduce the exposure time of the camera during shooting, because the battery will be inefficient in low temperature environment. If the camera is exposed to low temperature for a long time, sometimes the camera will stop working because the ambient temperature is too low.
