Vertical screen of morning fog photography
In order to report the road cycling race of the Asian Games held on 10 yesterday morning, the reporter rushed to the road cycling race in Zhangjijun, a suburb of Busan. The shuttle bus departs from the news center, leaves downtown Busan and heads for the northeast. All along the way are rice fields and farmhouses, shrouded in a faint morning fog. Just when the reporter imagined what kind of modern bicycle lane would appear on the horizon, the bus suddenly stopped at the roadside of a small ravine, and the driver signaled that he could get off.
After getting off the bus, in addition to a gas station, there are several small farmhouses with white walls and brown tiles, which is a quiet pastoral scenery. A white tent was set up at a fork in the road not far away, and police patrolled around. This seems to be the venue for the road cycling race.
This stadium is obviously temporary. Because it is a road race, all drivers ride on the road. As the "headquarters" of conference staff, journalists and spectators, there is naturally no need to build permanent buildings.
The temporary stadium was built on the isolation belt between two expressways, with a width of less than 30 meters and uneven ground. The terrain in the stadium is high and low, and there is a small slope as high as 1 meter, which is inconvenient to get up and down. Near the starting point of the road, there is a big tent of 50 to 60 square meters, in which a trapezoidal stand is built with wooden boards, and a row of tables are placed in front of the stand, even if it is a VIP seat. It's late autumn, the breeze is blowing gently, and the VIP tent is empty on three sides, so you can call it in the air. Officials from the Olympic Council of Asia watched the two events here today. Folding tables and plastic chairs are placed in the two pergolas next to the VIP tent, and the referee seats and work areas are readily available. Further inside, five or six square tents of about five or six square meters are lined up, and various medical and service personnel and drug testing centers are also located here. The athletes' lounge and the "news center" are also tents, with low positions and few facilities.
A small podium and three flagpoles were erected on a small open space in the stadium as a temporary venue for awarding prizes. There is no construction on the ground of the whole stadium, only a layer of white chemical fiber carpet is laid, which is neat and bright. The electronic timing device and broadcasting station are placed in a tent opposite the stadium, and the electronic display screen on the side shows the competition and athletes' achievements at any time. At the beginning of the competition, the activity starting platform was pushed to the starting point, and the athletes evacuated immediately after they set off. Several policemen pull several signs, even if it is an activity area for reporters to interview and take pictures. Standing here, it feels more like being in a temporary stadium of a university sports meeting than the venue of a large-scale sports meeting like the Asian Games.
On 10 in the morning, the women's 24km road cycling race of the Asian Games officially started. With the shot of the referee, the game went on in an orderly way. The staff are enthusiastic and serious, the referee is meticulous, and the reporter stands on the roadside to understand the progress of the game according to the exhibition board. When China's Li Meifang crossed the finish line and won the championship in 34 minutes, 24.82 seconds, warm applause rang out in the gymnasium. Subsequently, OCA officials held an award ceremony for athletes in Little Square. Accompanied by a military band, the national flags of China, Japan and South Korea slowly rose in the sound of the Chinese national anthem. At this moment, the sanctity of sportsmanship touched everyone present.
In the afternoon, a men's 48 km road race was held here, and three Central Asian athletes divided the medals. The award ceremony and flag-raising ceremony were once again held in solemn music.
"Sparrows are small and complete", and the complete facilities have not brought inconvenience to anyone. The simplicity of stadium facilities has not hindered the sports events themselves. On the contrary, it is fully understood by all the athletes and journalists present, because it fully considers practicality and protects the surrounding environment.
Holding a large-scale sports meeting is often regarded as an opportunity to show the comprehensive national strength of the host country, and many hosts will pursue "perfection" at the expense of their work. Korea has hosted two Asian Games, the Olympic Games and the World Cup, and has rich experience in hosting international competitions. At this Asian Games in Busan, South Korea put forward the slogan "Busan of the World", hoping to promote the process of urban construction and internationalization in Busan, determined to hold the largest and most successful Asian Games so far, and invested heavily in venue construction and infrastructure construction. The original intention of setting up such a temporary stadium should not only be to save money. By doing so, it not only avoids destroying the surrounding environment, but also avoids the waste caused by one-time use and the economic burden of long-term maintenance. The Asian Games lasted only two short weeks, with green hills growing and green waters flowing.
The "shrewdness" of Koreans is worth learning.
