How long does the film usually expire?

The validity of film is related to storage conditions, but even under general conditions, it is much longer than three months. For black and white films, the storage period is longer.

It can also be used for films with long storage period (such as 1 year or more). When using it, it is necessary to appropriately increase the point exposure (half to one), and the effect will be ideal when the weather is good and the contrast of the scene is moderate or large.

For color films, if the effect is slightly worse after one year of shooting (and the high-sensitivity film is slightly worse than the low-sensitivity film), it can definitely be developed for family commemorative photos.

The following is an article I published in People's Photography on June 5438+February 1 2004: Images Seventeen Years ago. My film was developed after seven years of shooting, and the effect is not bad, but the scanning effect is not very good.
