Nitecore introduces UFZ 100 Sony camera compatible battery with USB-C charging port.

For heavy photography users, an original camera battery is obviously not enough. Although photographers who want to save money can buy third-party compatible batteries, relying on the bulky charging base is still a headache for many people. The good news is that Nitecore has just introduced a UFZ 100 series camera battery with USB-C charging port.

Although it has not been officially released, at least Nitecore intends to adapt to Sony A73/A7R3/A7R4/A7S3, A9(ILCE-9)/A9II, A6600, A7C, A 1, FX3 and A7IV.

Obviously, the design with USB-C port allows you to easily get rid of Sony's original charging base and replenish energy at any time through a third-party power adapter/charging treasure.

UFZ 100 is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with a nominal voltage of 7.2V and a capacity of 2250mAh( 16.2Wh).

Although the battery capacity is slightly lower than the original model (NP-FZ 100 is 2280mAh), it has won the starting line just because it can avoid carrying a separate charging base with you.

In terms of charging time, if it is matched with BC-QZ 1 charger with US$ 99.99, it takes about 2.5 hours for the original factory to charge, while it takes about 4 hours for NitecReufZ100.

Even if the charging speed is not dominant, it is more convenient than plug-in charging treasure to charge the camera. NitecourfZ100 with built-in USB-C charging port is convenient.

In addition, NitecoreUFZ 100 has its own three-color power indicator, which shows red when charging/green when fully charged.

In the idle state, you can also press the power detection key to estimate the remaining power (50% green, 50% blue, 10% red).

Unfortunately, Nitecore did not disclose the exact price and release date of UFZ 100.

As for the reliability of USB-C lithium-ion battery, it will take time to test.
