What is lmax Hall?

Imax Hall is a movie screening hall that can show larger and higher resolution than traditional movies.

The whole system of imax hall includes film copy, projector, sound system, screen and so on. The standard imax screen is 22 meters wide and 16 meters high.

The structure of imax is also very different from that of ordinary cinemas. Due to the improvement of picture resolution, the audience can get closer to the screen. Generally, all seats are within the height of one screen (the span of seats in traditional cinemas can reach 8~ 12 screens). In addition, the inclination of the seat is also large (it can reach 23 degrees in the projection room of the hemispherical screen), so that the audience can face the center of the screen.

Imax was invented by three Canadians. 1967 At the World Expo held in Montreal, there were many technical problems in their multi-projector large-screen projection system, which prompted them to design a new system with single projector and single camera.

The first imax movie was shown at the World Expo held in Osaka, Japan in 1970, and the long-term imax system was installed in Toronto in 197 1 year.

1974 At the World Expo held in Spokane, Washington, USA, the USA Pavilion exhibited a giant imax screen of 27.3x19.7m. When the audience looked straight ahead, the screen was enough to fill the whole field of vision. * * * has been watched by 5 million people, most of whom think it shows a strong sense of movement, and a few even get seasick. This screen has only been on display for six months. A few years later, the IMAX cinema in Binhe Park installed a standard-sized IMAX screen, which has been in use ever since.
