The palette in the classic focus plane tells you how colors determine the atmosphere of a movie.

Before any actor speaks his lines, color often determines the atmosphere and emotional tone of the film. For example, directors Lily and lana wachowski used green to set their mood in The Matrix released in 1999, which is a good hint for movies that used early black and white images at that time.

In 2003, the film Kill Bill used yellow to show uma thurman's crazy and restless character. Romantic comedies tend to use soft beige, pink and lavender gradients. In science fiction films, blue, gray and green gradients are often used. Now Hollywood is choosing cyan and orange more and more, especially in movies adapted from cartoons and comics.

To emphasize the importance of color in movies, @Cinema Palette captured impressive scenes from famous movies and shared his analysis of color on Twitter. Now they have edited more than 250 color cards, and of course they have accepted others' recommendations.

Some color cards may also bring color matching inspiration to your next design works. Let's enjoy the palette in this classic focal plane. Enjoy it!
