Beijing Knows: What is the context of National Day flower bed design? Blue Waves: Flower arrangements in the Tiananmen Square area began in 1984, and three-dimensional flower beds were placed for the first time in 1986. The evolution of square flower layout can be roughly divided into three stages. The flower bed has become more three-dimensional and its height has also increased. Placed flower beds.

"Picture scroll style", a group of large three-dimensional flower beds are arranged on the east and west sides of the square. The flower beds in 2008 include the "Olympic-themed" flower beds on the east side of the square, and the "Hangzhou Bay Bridge" and "Chang'e Moon Exploration Project" flower beds on the west side. The interviewee provided a picture of the "flower basket style". A giant flower basket with "Bless the Motherland" is arranged in the center of the square, and the green spaces on both sides are decorated with flower poles, bouquets and flower ribbons from May Day to National Day. The "flower basket" is like a gift to the motherland on National Day. This form has been fixed and is still used today.

Finally, we found that the color and shape of the flower baskets are most harmonious with the square environment. Its color is traditional Chinese red, which is in line with the atmosphere of the National Day holiday. The autumn weather is crisp in Beijing. Against the backdrop of blue sky and white clouds, the flower baskets are very suitable for the occasion. Three-dimensional flower baskets can free up more space for visitors to visit. It can be viewed 360 degrees and is very festive. Over the years, it has become a habit and fashion to go to Tiananmen Square to take photos with flower baskets during the National Day.

Our motherland is so big and we achieve a lot every year. Along Chang'an Avenue, we display these achievements through 10 shaped flower beds. Usually there is one each for Fuxingmen and Jianguomen, and four each for Xidan and Dongdan. Generally speaking, our flower baskets should have beautiful colors and majestic shapes. When people pass by in cars, they should look good and attractive from a distance. At the same time, when people watch them up close, they can also notice the processing of details, such as some exquisite ones.
