Susan sontag (English original name: susan sontag,193365438+1October16—200465438+February 28th), female, is an American writer and art critic. 1933 was born in new york, USA, and graduated from the University of Chicago. Susan sontag, formerly known as SusanRosenblatt, is the biological daughter of JackRosenblatt and his ex-wife MildredJacobsen. Jack, a Jewish businessman engaged in fur business, died of tuberculosis in China when Sontag was 5 years old. Mildred remarried to Nathan Sonntag, so Susan changed her father's surname.
Sontag is a third generation Lithuanian-American. Sontag grew up in Tucson, Arizona, and attended high school in Los Angeles. She skipped the third grade and graduated from high school at the age of 15 and entered the University of California at Berkeley. After a semester in Berkeley, he transferred to the University of Chicago and obtained an undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago.
At the age of 24, he obtained a master's degree in philosophy from Harvard University, and then went to Saint Anne College of Oxford University and Paris University, where he mainly studied philosophy, literature and theology. /kloc-at the age of 0/7, Sontag married Philip Lev, and the marriage ended eight years later. 1989 Sontag and photographer annie leibovitz started a new relationship, but it ended one year before Sontag died, but they were still friends when Sontag died. Sontag died of acute myeloid leukemia on February 28th, 2004. For more than 30 years, she has been fighting different forms of cancer, including breast cancer and uterine cancer.
