Common photographic construction methods
In the process of photography, don't be limited to one or a certain fixed composition method. The use of good composition methods will make our works stand out. The following are the common photographic composition methods I bring to you. Welcome to reading.
1. symmetry
Symmetry is a traditional way of composition, which is also easy to understand, that is, the objects on the screen are basically symmetrical. This way of writing is of special significance to China people. China people pay attention to clear pronunciation and clear articulation. Like some ancient palaces and ornaments, including the red happy characters used in marriage, they are absolutely symmetrical. Therefore, the symmetrical processing method has strong China characteristics. Wedding photography sometimes uses symmetrical composition, especially when shooting ancient costumes. Symmetry can not only give people a sense of tradition and rules, but also set off the grandeur of architecture. Symmetrical composition is also used when shooting solemn buildings such as Tiananmen Square and the court. Generally speaking, symmetry has advantages and disadvantages, and it can be used occasionally. Frequent use will make the pictures lack creativity and be too conventional.
2. Diagonal style
Diagonal composition covers a wide range, which generally means that the subject is between two diagonals. Speaking of diagonal lines, we may immediately think of a simple straight line lying on the screen. In fact, in real shooting, it is not so absolute, and it is not that an object completely walks from one corner to another. Many times, the subject may not be presented in the form of a straight line, or it may start from one end, but it does not completely reach the diagonal, but as long as there is a diagonal, we call it diagonal composition. In addition, when shooting portraits, the subject is often placed in the diagonal position of the picture to seek different visual effects.
3. Variational composition
Deliberately arranged scenery in a corner or a side can give people thinking and imagination, leaving room for further judgment. Full of charm and interest. Often used in small landscapes, sports, artistic photography, humorous photos, etc.
4. Cross-line composition
The scene is in the form of diagonal cross layout, and the cross point of the scene can be inside or outside the picture. The former is similar to cross composition, and the latter is similar to diagonal composition, which can make full use of screen space and lead the line of sight to the center of the cross or to the outside of the screen. It is lively, relaxed and implicit.
5. Elliptical composition
It can form a strong sense of wholeness and produce visual effects such as rotation, movement and contraction. It is often used to express that it does not need special emphasis, but focuses on the picture content of the scene or the main body of the rendering atmosphere.
6.x-shaped composition lines
Tones arranged in an X-shape have a strong sense of perspective, which is conducive to guiding people's line of sight to shift from the periphery to the center, or the scenery has the characteristics of gradually enlarging from the center to the periphery. Often used in architecture, bridges, highways, fields and other themes.
7. Vertical composition
Can fully show the height and depth of the scene. It is often used to show pictures composed of vertical lines such as towering trees, steep rocks, waterfalls and skyscrapers.
8. Diagonal composition
It can be divided into vertical oblique vertical line and horizontal oblique horizontal line. Sports, maneuvers, inclinations, bumps, imbalances, tensions, dangers, thousands of miles away and other scenes are often shown. Some pictures use diagonal lines to point out specific objects and play a fixed guiding role.
9. Triangle composition
Three visual centers are the main positions of the scene, and sometimes the geometric composition of three points into a plane arranges the position of the scene to form a stable triangle. This triangle can be a regular triangle, an oblique triangle or an inverted triangle. Among them, oblique triangle is more commonly used and flexible. Triangular composition is stable, balanced and flexible.
10. Cross composition
The change of scenery, tone or color on the screen is formed by orthogonal composition. This composition can leave more space, so it can accommodate more backgrounds and foil bodies, so that the viewer's eyes can naturally focus on the cross. It is mostly used to arrange and combine stable objects, or to shoot regular moving objects.
1 1.s composition
The scenery on the screen is in the form of S-shaped curve composition, which has the characteristics of extension and change, making people look rhythmic and producing a beautiful, elegant and harmonious feeling. When it is necessary to express the subject in the form of curve, we should first think of S-shaped composition. Commonly used in rivers, streams, winding paths, paths, etc.
12. l-shaped composition
Enclose and frame the main body that needs to be emphasized with L-shaped lines or color blocks to highlight the theme. L-shape is like a half-enclosure, which can be a straight L-shape or an inverted L-shape. It can focus people's attention on the enclosure, make the subject stand out and make the theme clear. Often used in pictures with certain rules and lines.
13. Centripetal component
The main body is in the center, and the surrounding scenery is in the form of composition concentrated towards the center, which can strongly lead people's eyes to the center of the main body and play a role in gathering. It has the distinct characteristics of highlighting the subject, but sometimes it will also produce the feeling of oppression and embarrassment.
14. Radial composition takes the subject as the core, and the scenery is in the form of spreading radiation around, which can focus people's attention on the subject, and then has the functions of opening, stretching and spreading. It is often used in situations where the subject needs to be prominent and the scene is complex, and it is also used to make people or scenery produce special effects in complex situations.
