I plan to take ID photos, what kind of makeup is most suitable?
The ID photo is probably the most difficult photo to take. Because most of the photos were captured, and some required the forehead and ears to be exposed, it was simply a big light. In addition, sometimes the aunt who takes the photo may be too casual, and if we don't control our expressions, the photo will be simply unsightly. So what are the makeup tips for ID photos? How to apply makeup to look good in ID photos?
Requirements for ID makeup: natural makeup, not thick but with a sense of presence. The details and blush should be taken care of properly, and the color of lipstick should be pinker or redder (if you have big red lips and a pale face, the staff will probably ask you to remove your makeup, which will be very embarrassing)
1. Base makeup: Most ID photos have a white background + white flash, so first of all, don’t use glossy base makeup: Don’t use glossy base makeup: Don’t use glossy base makeup: Remember to use matte base makeup (what I use It's a dior air cushion), or matte with a hint of gloss. Because if you use a glossy foundation, your face will reflect into a big oily cake in a matter of minutes, and it will still be that textureless oily shine. Secondly, the makeup should be clean and the blemishes should be properly covered (including dark circles and acne marks, of course, NYX can solve them in one go. If you don’t know how to cover them, look at the picture below). After all, the staff who took the ID photo will not give us photos. Of course, don’t make up too fake or too white, because the staff in some places will think the difference is too big and ask you to remove your makeup.
2. Eyebrows: The eyebrows in the ID photo are one degree thicker than those in daily makeup, because the flash is very makeup-intensive, and the eyebrow color in daily makeup will lose its presence every minute. Eyebrows are a key element in correcting the face shape, especially if you like to draw flat eyebrows, try to draw eyebrows with a slight peak, because flat eyebrows will make your face look bigger when taking photos.
3. Contouring (see the picture below): This step must not be ignored. How to make the face look smaller in the ID photo is definitely due to contouring. I took a photography class in college and the flash was on the opposite side. A contoured face will turn into a pie face! Therefore, if you want to look good in your ID photo, you must reshape your face. The shadow of the nose and cheeks must not fall. Pay attention to the triangle area of ??the nose shadow in the picture. Gently bring the bridge of the nose and the tip of the nose. Draw it carefully; you can inhale and sweep along the cheekbones along the concave areas of the cheekbones. The contour can be slightly heavier because the camera takes advantage of the color. (My favorite is the one from KA for contouring, which is very suitable for yellow skin)
4. Highlighting (Picture 5): Of course, contouring and brightening steps are enough. When choosing highlighter, don’t choose pearlescent type, choose matte surface, which is good for brightening without strong luster. And the highlight only needs to be applied to the C-shaped area under the eyes (the temples will look a little poppier and younger), the bridge of the nose, (the forehead is small, the forehead can be highlighted) and the chin.
5. Eyeshadow part: Earth tones are OK. Today I used Nars wet and dry eyeshadow himalia. Don’t go out of your way to paint red or purple colors because the staff are very cautious. Also, don’t choose glitter. Although glitter is beautiful, it is not suitable for ID photos. The focus is on the double eyelid area and just deepen the end of the eye.
6. Eyeliner: Be careful not to draw thick outer eyeliner. If you draw the inner eyeliner well, you will look very stylish. If you really want to draw outer eyeliner, just draw a thin line to lengthen the end of the eye, or use eyeshadow and eyeliner to accentuate the end of the eye.
7. Eyelashes: Eyelashes have the effect of enlarging the eyes. Of course, if you want a natural look, just apply mascara. I strongly recommend kate eyelash primer here, which can really make eyelashes curl and shape.
8. Blush (Picture 6): Blush is a combination of uplifting color and contouring, so swipe it.
9. Setting powder: The only thing to note is, do not use nars, make up forever setting powder, as it will turn white under the flash. You can use flesh-colored ones, such as Rolla, bare matte makeup loose powder, it powder (this time I used it) and sweep it lightly.
10. Lip makeup: You can’t go wrong if you choose a pinkish-red color. Just don’t apply it too thickly and use a light color. After all, you are playing a fresh look. This time I used CT’s stoned rose and Mac’s lady bug! I have recently fallen in love with stoned rose
11. Hairline: You can buy Mengzhuang hairline powder to create a round forehead. Or if not, just use shadow powder! Create a round forehead
12. Hairstyle: Most ID cards require the ears and eyebrows to be exposed, so it is basically a big light, and a big light means a big ponytail , so how to modify your face shape, the key is to tie your hair up, and loosen it little by little with your hands to make it bouncier. In terms of visual effect, your face will look smaller. Remember to loosen your hair in a full circle and adjust it to a flat state. That’s OK.
13. Photography angle: Here is a key point. The trick is to face the camera, lower your head slightly, look up slightly, hold your breath gently, and touch your tongue to the roof of your mouth so that you are taking the picture. You will look energetic when you lower your head. Of course, you need to practice the degree of lowering your head and adjust it by repeatedly taking selfies. You must know how you are most beautiful!
14. Expression: I don’t know whether to smile or not. In fact, The most conservative way to smile is to raise the corners of your mouth. This also requires practice, because while lowering your head, you need to tighten your chin, and then raise the corners of your mouth happily from the bottom of your heart (don't smile superficially but not smiling at all). I didn’t choose to smile because it would be really embarrassing in front of the staff. Hahahaha, it’s easy to break the smile.
