Appreciation of Fine astrophotography's Works
What is the beauty of the moon under the lens? Come and have a look with me.
Editor's note: The Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching, and it is another good day to "light up the whole heaven thousands of miles away". Looking up at the moon, we are expressing our desire for reunion and talking about all kinds of beautiful possibilities-different people have different understandings of the meaning and symbol of the moon, and they "chase" the moon in their own way. In their stories, we can see the most romantic stories, the purest ideals, and this is also the most beautiful "moonlight".

"The moon, now full on the sea, illuminates the whole heaven." "He knows that the dew will be frost tonight, and the moonlight at home is so bright!" The bright moon has been admired by China literati since ancient times, and has been endowed with nostalgia and beautiful connotation. In the past, ancient people would raise their heads and sing about the moon, but now people will raise their hands and pat the moon. In Guilin, Guangxi, an 19-year-old astronomical photographer was praised by the industry, and the moon in his lens was fascinating.

19-year-old boy loves astrophotography.
"I don't like photography, I just like watching the scenery", which is a brief introduction of Huang Yijun, a boy of 0/9 years old this year. Huang Yijun started his photography career on 20 16, and became a contracted photographer for several photography platforms because he photographed Guilin landscape.

Among Huang Yijun's numerous landscape photos, a group of moon-themed works caught the attention of the client reporter of South China Morning Post. Huang Yijun told reporters that in June last year, 1 1, by chance, he saw some photos of deep space objects on the Internet, which rekindled his enthusiasm for exploring the starry sky when he was a child, so he began to aim the camera at the moon and stars. "I can clearly see the shadow on the crater of the moon, which is equivalent to watching the sunrise and sunset on the moon." Recalling the first time I saw the moon on the camera, the shock and dream at that time were still vivid, which also made him deeply fascinated by astrophotography.

Get up at four o'clock in the morning, catch the sunset and sunrise over and over again, shoot the moon and watch the meteor shower ... He said that shooting deep space objects is very different from shooting stars (combining the theme of the Milky Way, orbit and ground scenery). The field of view of deep space photos is mostly small, and celestial bodies occupy almost the whole screen. "When those celestial bodies that have only been glimpsed from a distance and can't even be named are truly displayed in front of your eyes, that kind of feeling.

Shooting the moon is a technical job.
/kloc-What does the moon look like in the eyes of 0/9-year-olds? "Thousands of valleys on the surface of the moon are shrouded in the interweaving of shadows and highlights, especially at the edge, which is very three-dimensional. I can clearly see the criss-crossing mountains and vast seas on the moon. " Yi Huang military astronomical telescope and freezing camera photograph the surface of the moon. Under the clear picture, those interesting lunar terrain fascinated him even more. He couldn't help sighing, "if possible, I really hope to have a look."

In order to shoot the moon well, this "post-00" has a persistence beyond age. He spent a lot of time aligning the polar axis and calibrating the equatorial telescope for the first time. To control the telescope to shoot the lunar surface, it is necessary to know the moon phase and the time when the moon appears in advance, and choose the time period with high moon height and angle to shoot. The key point is to locate the moon and manually control the equatorial telescope to splice and shoot the lunar surface.

"How to move and plan depends on your head to remember and move bit by bit. This requires patience. Occasionally, a few clouds will float, and you have to wait for them to slowly disperse. " Huang Yijun added that because the final picture presented to the camera is very huge, only a small part of the lunar surface, it is very common to control the equatorial plane to shoot each part separately, which takes 1~2 hours. At the same time, the amount of data is amazing, and the data taken in one night can reach 40G or more. In his view, all the efforts are worthwhile, and it is only after watching the last film that it is interesting.
Watching the moon and stars is a part of life.
This year, a work of Huang Yijun's deep space nebula was selected in the APY competition of the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, England, which is a very influential competition in astrophotography, and another work of the lunar surface was also selected in this year's Beijing Planetarium competition.

"There is a saying in The Moon and Sixpence,' In order to keep the soul quiet, one has to do two things he doesn't like every day'. And I want to make my soul restless and do two things I like every day: watching the stars and enjoying the moon. " Huang Yijun said that the unknown surprise brought by celestial photography made him decide to stick to it. Just as a senior three student, he must concentrate on his studies, but in the future he plans to combine photography with computer science and explore the combination of celestial photography and automation technology.

Huang Yijun said that an online remote astronomical shooting platform is being developed with several friends, and it is hoped that astronomy enthusiasts can observe celestial bodies more conveniently through this platform, without being limited by time, place and equipment.
