Decrypt Wang Baohe the Ghost Hand.
Wang Baohe, a Wuqiao folk performance artist with the title of "Ghost Hand", grew up in an acrobatic family. His grandfather and father used to set up stalls in Beijing Tianqiao, and his grandfather Wang Yusen was also known as "one of the eight monsters in the Jianghu", which made him famous in Beijing Tianqiao.
At the age of 6, Wang Baohe, from a poor family, followed his father to the Tianqiao to perform arts. He assisted his father's program and performed some basic skills. In 1951, when he grew up, Wang Baohe returned to Wuqiao and pulled his own team to perform; In 1958, he joined the Wuqiao Circus Acrobatic Troupe and became a formal acrobat. He has two unique skills: "Three Immortals Return to the Cave" and "Shrinking Bone and Softening Skill".
Three Immortals Return to the Cave
Basic principle:
1. A performer always holds the ball in his left hand, but the actual ball is already in his right hand. He will not directly take the ball with his left hand, but must pass it through his right hand.
2. When the performer shows the audience that the ball is covered by the bowl, the ball must not be put in, and there is nothing in the bowl.
3. The balls are put into the bowl at the moment when the bowl is covered. These three points need to be accomplished by relying on the superb skills of the performers, and they are all real kung fu.
Specific steps:
First, name the bowls and balls one by one, with the right bowl and ball on the performer's right, the left bowl and ball on the left, and the ball in the middle being the middle. The left, middle and right balls are lined up in turn, and the left and right bowls are on both sides. The performer covers the right bowl first. This is an ordinary bowl-covering action. There are no balls in the bowl, and there is no need to have balls.
Then you saw him take the ball with his right hand and put it in his left hand. As mentioned above, the ball didn't turn to his left hand, but it was still in his right hand.
Next, he lifted the right bowl with his right hand and put the ball into the right bowl with his left hand. As mentioned above, this is only an illusion, and nothing is put into the right bowl.
Then he will cover the left ball into the left bowl with his right hand. Why not cover the left ball into the left bowl with his left hand? Because there is no ball in his left hand, the middle ball he held in his right hand has also been put into the left bowl at the moment when he covered the left ball with his right hand.
After that, the performer used his right hand to get the right ball and then handed it to his left hand. The right ball was still in his right hand. At this time, he poked the left hand without the ball with his right hand and said "enter", as if the ball had been poked into the left bowl. After opening the left bowl, there were of course two balls in it, which was already there after the right hand covered the left bowl just now.
Then the performer covers the left bowl with his right hand. He can only cover the left bowl with his right hand, because there are no balls in his left hand. In an instant, the two balls in the left bowl have become three. The performer pretends to use chopsticks to transfer the ball from the right bowl to the left bowl. At first, there was no ball in the right bowl. Of course, the result is that when the left and right bowls are opened, there is no ball in the right bowl and three balls in the left bowl.

Ghost Hand
Former Hong Kong Chief Executive called him "Ghost Hand"
He walked into the "Ghost Hand House" in the acrobatic world "Jianghu Cultural City", and the reporter saw Wang Baohe who was drinking tea after the performance. He was dressed in brown satin. Although he is small and thin, his eyes are bright. Speaking of acrobatics, Wang Baohe's smiling eyes are full of self-confidence.
Now in Wuqiao, the name of "Ghost Hand" Wang Baohe can be said to be resounding. This imposing name was given by former Hong Kong Chief Executive Tung Chee-hwa! In 1999, recommended by the Labor Department of Hebei Province, Wang Baohe followed an art troupe to perform at the Kowloon Art Center, which lasted for several months.
Wang Baohe didn't expect that traditional acrobatics, which was very popular in his hometown, was also very popular in Hongkong. Hong Kong people went to watch the performance one after another, and the venue was full. The magic of "three immortals returning to the cave" and the strangeness of "shrinking bones and soft skills" have aroused people's interest. Tung Chee-hwa, the chief executive of Hong Kong who saw Wang Baohe's performance, called him a "ghost hand".
The performance also "stimulated" the keen sense of smell of Hong Kong media, so famous Hong Kong media such as Jade TV, Phoenix TV and Ta Kung Pao rushed to report the performance. In the report, I don't know which Hong Kong media took the lead in quoting Tung Chee-hwa's reputation as "ghost hand" to Wang Baohe. Since then, this title has spread like wildfire, spread to Xiangjiang, the mainland of China, and also spread to Wang Baohe's hometown, and it was later nicknamed "ghost hand residence".
