Since the first Blue Crab Festival was successfully held in Sanmen in 2002, Sanmen Blue Crab has become famous all over the world, and its products are exported to more than 20 provinces and cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Fujian, and Guangdong, as well as international markets such as Singapore and Japan. Last year, the county's blue crab production reached 12,200 tons, making it the largest blue crab breeding base in the country.
