What is depth of field? What are the factors related to depth of field? On the influence of depth of field on photography.

Simply put, the depth of field is an acceptable blank area that extends before and after the adjusted focus. It should be noted that from the front to the back of the focus, the clarity gradually decreases until it is unacceptable, and it is not because of the depth of field that it suddenly becomes unclear.

There are three main factors that affect the depth of field: aperture, focal length and focusing distance (the distance between the camera and the focus of the subject).

(1) The depth of field is approximately proportional to the aperture value. That is, the larger the aperture value (small aperture), the greater the depth of field.

(2) The depth of field is approximately inversely proportional to the square of the focal length. That is, the longer the focal length, the shallower the depth of field.

(3) The depth of field is approximately proportional to the square of the focusing distance. In other words, the closer the focal length, the shallower the depth of field.

Small depth of field helps to highlight the subject and reduce the influence of background clutter, while large depth of field helps to show the details of all parts of the big scene, which can be mastered as needed when shooting.

I hope to adopt.
