Photographic headlamp

If you think the interior you shot looks more like a "car lifting operation", the reason is probably the lack of auxiliary tools.

Such as flash and soft screen.

In daily shooting, the most frequently heard question is "Is it necessary to use a flash when shooting during the day?" "Can I shoot in poor light here?" In fact, with the help of the flash, these two problems are not problems.

Compared with the appearance shooting, the local shooting of the interior is almost not limited by the venue and equipment, so it can also give me more room to play.

I don't repeat the basics of flash photography here, but mainly share some shooting experiences.

Two knowledge points are introduced here, one is specular reflection, and the other is the law of light reflection. ?

The smooth central control decorative board is specular reflection, which can truly reflect the surrounding environment. In order to make the central control decorative board reflect a clean environment, we need to add a soft light curtain cover in front of the central control decorative board. The principle is similar to that of using sulfuric acid paper to shoot jewelry in commercial photography.

The reflection law of light means that under certain conditions, the incident angle and reflection angle of light determine whether the surface of indoor decorative board is clean or not.

Take this shift key of Aston Martin as an example. When the incident angle of the flash just coincides with the camera's shooting angle (that is, the reflection angle), the camera will capture the highlights reflected on the shift key:

The solution is also simple. Generally speaking, using a polarizer, shooting with a telephoto lens and moving the flash (using side light or side backlight) can eliminate the spot. Here, I suggest you take a look at the textbook "American Photography Light Course", which has a very detailed theoretical explanation on reflection.

Flash interior shooting actual combat

Here is a photo of me using my iPhone? A photo of a Porsche model taken by X. The main light is located at the back of the car body, and the acrylic board under the car plays the role of a reflector.

Because the car model is covered by clean and smooth reflective surfaces (sulfuric acid paper behind the car body and acrylic board under the car) and isolated from the surrounding environment, the car body presents a clean and uniform gradient effect on the roof and hood near the carport.

The internal shooting of the flash is actually the reproduction of the above shooting principle.

Take car key shooting as an example. Cover the soft light screen on the car key, and then use the flash to reverse the car light, and a clean and three-dimensional original photo will be completed.

The advantage of doing enough work in the early stage is that you can save a lot of time in the later stage. Generally speaking, such photos can be released quickly by simply adjusting saturation, highlight shadows and contrast. Of course, you can redraw the key surface through the post-processing of jewelry to get a more perfect effect, but it is generally not needed for daily shooting.

In the same way, putting the soft light screen in front of the headlight combination switch can still get a pure picture effect.

Adjust the front seats backward, so that the soft light curtain is placed between the front and rear seats, forming reflective isolation on the central armrest.

Then use a single light to hit the left back seat through the soft light screen, so that the central armrest shows a clean and refreshing effect on both sides of the camera.

In addition to the interior, this shooting method is also suitable for shooting the details of the exterior:
