In 1999, his work "Moonlight on the Snowfield" won the gold medal in the Australian Chinese Masters Ink Painting Competition and was invited to visit Australia. The Minister of Immigration and Minister of Culture of the Australian Federal Government, Mr Reddore, presented the award.
