How to deal with moldy camera lens?

1, prepare a pair of tweezers, which need to be thicker, but too thin to use. Separate the two sides of the tweezers by hand, as shown in the figure below.

2, put the lens, easy to operate. The light source should be sufficient to see where there is mold or dust, as shown in the figure below.

3. Gently remove the decorative plastic paper ring attached to the lens with a bamboo toothpick. The inner surface of the plastic paper ring is a little sticky, so be careful when removing it. Do not use a metal bar to do this step, as shown in the figure below.

4. You can see two bayonets after removing them, as shown in the figure below.

5. First protect the lens with cloth, insert the tweezers into the bayonet and rotate the lens group counterclockwise, as shown in the figure below.

6. Take out the lens and wipe it clean with a special lens cloth. You can use a special cleaning solution, as shown in the figure below.

7. Turn the lens clockwise with tweezers and stick the plastic decorative ring back to its original position, as shown in the figure below.

Matters needing attention in lens use

1. Photographers are not allowed to disassemble the lens at will. If there is a problem, they should go to a special maintenance department to repair it. Otherwise, it can't be recovered after disassembly and can't be adjusted accurately. The damage caused by lens will affect the imaging quality of lens.

2. Do not wipe the lens with rough and unclean items.

3. When using the lens brush to brush the lens surface, keep the brush clean, and don't touch the brush with your hands. Wash the bristles with alcohol in time after they are dirty.

4. Don't add lubricating oil to the adjusting ring of the photographic lens at will. So as not to flow into the lens and contaminate the lens surface.

5. When not shooting, adjust the focus ring of the lens to infinity, adjust the aperture to full open, and retract the push-pull zoom ring and macro ring to improve the seismic performance of the lens.

6. When the photographic lens is not used for a long time, it is best to keep it in a glass sealed vessel filled with desiccant or sealed in a plastic bag filled with desiccant.
