Zonggu Strait, also known as La Perouse Strait, is located between Hokkaido, Japan and Sakhalin, Russia, which is the crossroads of the Sea of Japan and the Sea of Okhotsk. It is the northern export of Haitong, Japan, and an important passage for Russian Pacific fleet to enter and leave the Pacific Ocean.

Miyako Strait, also known as Miyako Waterway, Okinawa-Miyako Waterway, Okinawa-Miyako Waterway, etc., is an important sea channel between Okinawa Island in Ryukyu Islands and Miyakojima, connecting the offshore of China and the western Pacific Ocean.

Dayu Strait is a waterway connecting the Pacific Ocean and the East China Sea between Dayu Peninsula and Dayu Islands at the southern tip of Kyushu Island in Japan.
