Why do I shoot the moon with a light spot? All cameras do.

The exposure is not normal, and this problem will also occur if the parameters of professional facilities are not adjusted well.

How to shoot the moon with a mobile phone?

Last year, Xiaomi released Xiaomi 9 with "moon mode", and then Huawei released P30 Pro with 10x hybrid optical zoom, which can better show the details of the moon through 50x digital zoom.

The word "shooting the moon" once occupied the front page of mobile phone photography. And the recently released Huawei P40 Pro+ supporting 10x optical zoom. Up to now, 3x and 5x optical zoom are still dominant in the industry, and Huawei is the first to release 10x optical zoom, which can be said to lead mobile phone photography again.

But at present, only a few models have professional automatic optimization for shooting the moon, so other mobile phones can only shoot the moon as a "big spot"?

Of course not! There are three main reasons why the moon photographed by mobile phone is too small to look good: first, the shooting time is wrong, second, the shooting equipment is not good, and third, the shooting method is wrong. Today, we will learn how ordinary people take beautiful photos of the moon with their mobile phones!

First, the best shooting time

Although they are all full moons, they are also shot with the same focal length of the mobile phone. Seeing the moon photographed by others is big and round, while yours is small and unclear, there may be one reason-you missed the "best shooting time".

The most important point in taking pictures of the moon is the shooting time. You can't take pictures at night. At night, the moon rises very high and the brightness is very strong, so it is difficult to photograph the texture details of the moon surface. If you choose to take pictures at a later time, you will fail at first.

It's just that it's dark in the evening and the moon is hanging on the branches. At this time, the moon is very close to us. It looks big and round, and the moonlight is not so strong. At this time, we can take clear details of the moon, so we must take more photos. As time goes on, the moon will gradually rise and naturally become smaller and smaller.

Therefore, if you want to shoot the "full moon", try to shoot it before 8 pm to avoid shooting at the wrong time.

Second, related equipment

1, external telephoto lens

If you want to make the moon big and round, it is necessary to configure a mobile phone external telephoto lens. However, due to the immature performance of the telephoto lens of mobile phones, it is relatively difficult to manually zoom when using it. It is only recommended as an auxiliary tool to improve the telephoto performance of mobile phones.

The following are four suggestions on the selection and use of telephoto lenses for mobile phones:

1 > Price 200-500 yuan period.

〈 2〉 matches the model of mobile phone, so it is recommended to use "mobile phone case" to connect, which is more convenient to operate.

The focal length is about 15- 18 times, and a lens that is too big is difficult to carry.

〈 4〉 With the mobile phone tripod shooting, the picture is more stable.

2. tripod

Especially in the case of large zoom of the mobile phone, or with the help of an external telephoto lens, the mobile phone will be extremely sensitive when it is pulled into the foreground. Even if there is "anti-shake", it can't stop the trembling of the picture, and even the micro motion caused by breathing may cause the picture to be weak.

If possible, you can use a small mobile phone tripod (it is recommended to choose the "octopus" type, which can be fixed on the railing or tree stem at any time), or find a support point to help you shoot stably for the time being.

3. Bluetooth shutter

Try not to directly touch the virtual shutter on the mobile phone, which will bring jitter to the mobile phone. It is suggested to use Bluetooth remote controller to control the shutter, or use earphone cable as a flat cable. If it really doesn't work, you can also consider using the timed shooting function on your mobile phone.

Third, the professional model.

After turning on the camera of the mobile phone and pressing the shutter on the moon, most people will get the following photos, right! Everything is just a bright spot, and there is no moon at all.

This is because the automatic camera mode of the mobile phone will be "automatically optimized" because the light around the scene is too dark, and the brightness of the picture will increase. So no matter how you shoot, you can only get highlights in automatic mode. Then you need to enter the professional mode of mobile phone photography to do the following operations.

1, adjust ISO (sensitivity)

After the phone screen is maximized, you will see the ISO option when you open the phone professional mode. When shooting the moon scene, it is necessary to reduce the sensitivity as much as possible, so as to prevent the lens of the mobile phone from receiving too much light and turning the moon into a "light spot". When we set ISO to the lower limit of 50. It can be found that after the sensitivity of the picture becomes lower, the noise in the sky becomes less and purer, and the surface details of the moon gradually emerge.

2. Adjust the shutter time

Since the aperture of a mobile phone is generally fixed, we adjust the shutter time directly. Simply put, it takes a few seconds for a mobile phone to focus light, which leads to how long it takes for a mobile phone to take a photo.

Usually, it is common to adjust the shutter time when you want to take high-brightness photos at night, but it should be noted that hand-held shooting is easy to cause picture jitter and the final effect is very poor. Bracket is recommended for long exposure shooting.

By default, the shutter time is about 1/45 seconds in a sunny room and about 1/8 seconds in a dark environment. The longer the exposure time, the higher the brightness of the picture. When shooting the moon scene, the brightness and details are adjusted to11000 seconds to keep a basic balance. You can see the effect of each shutter duration in the figure below.

Step 3 focus manually

Manually focus by moving the horizontal bar left and right, and adjust AF (focal length). Basically, the focus section can be adjusted to the farthest position to clearly aim at the moon position, and the mobile phone that can automatically focus can be adjusted without manual adjustment.

Final effect comparison:

After manually adjusting ISO sensitivity, aperture size and shutter time, it is basically possible to avoid making the moon into a big ball of light. Although limited by the zoom ability of the mobile phone, the final effect after adjustment is still very obvious compared with the automatic mode.

Of course, in manual mode, you can also adjust the color temperature of the whole picture, and even achieve the effect of "super blue moon" as long as you like.

Professional mode can not only be used to shoot the moon, but also learn the professional mode of mobile phone camera, which will make you even more powerful in the future photography process.
