Can lake natron fossilize people?
Lake natron has the ability to turn life into fossils because of its neighbor, Mount Gere, which is an active volcano that never stops. There is huge energy hidden in this volcano, and Geray volcano will erupt every 30 years. With the eruption of magma, there is a lot of volcanic ash, which is rich in sodium carbonate and potassium carbonate.
When these substances are mixed with lake water, the lake water in lake natron will become more salty than sea water. After many years, the pH value in lake natron is as high as 9 to 10.5, and the alkalinity is similar to that of ammonia.
In 2003, wildlife photographer Nick found many animal statues in lake natron. At that time, these animal stone statues were in the lake, and the photographer took these stone statues into various shapes for shooting effect, which is the photos we see now. It is precisely because lake natron can fossilize animals and birds that it is called the Styx in reality.
