Where is the output of Lingbi stone?
Lingbi Stone is named after its place of origin, and it is recorded in Lingbi Zhilue: "Lingbi has 70 peaks, including seal stone, Qiao Shi, black and white stone, transparent flower stone, vegetable jade, colorful stone and so on. And the mountains and rivers are beautiful, and the stones are like jade. " The ancients took the meaning of the last two sentences to name this area and turned it into a stone name. Lingbi Stone is produced in more than a dozen mountains in the northeast of Lingbi County, among which Lingbi Stone in Yun Yun Mountain is the most famous.
Lingbishi deposit was formed in the late Sinian Sidingshan orogeny, about 900 million years ago. After later erosion, transportation and weathering, the original rock of carbonate mine has become a strange stone with hard texture, black micrite structure and delicate posture. Its main mineral components are calcite and dolomite microcrystals, and it is precisely because of this microcrystal structure that it can make a metallic sound when struck. The hardness is slightly higher than that of Taihu stone, ranging from 3 to 3.5, and the hardness of parallel stone can reach more than 5, and the color is generally black, white, gray and red.
