After many events, such as seconds' retreat, countless retreats, the final paper being completely changed, and being directly included after minor repairs, I didn't sum up much experience in the process of writing the paper, but I did have some experiences in the process of submitting the paper:

If there is enough time and the quality of the paper is not bad, you can start from the journals with higher academic level in CSCD, and generally you will get two results: one is seconds' retreat, and the other is to give you rejection opinions after a period of time. Be thick-skinned, don't be afraid to quit, and then switch to other journals after quitting. Some journal editors are very serious and responsible. Although they will reject manuscripts, they will also put forward many valuable opinions. For example, I submitted a rough paper to China Agricultural Sciences, and received a rejection email a few minutes later. I was amazed at the speed of the action, and it was really merciless! However, considering that it represents the big brother in domestic agricultural periodicals, it has a huge amount of manuscripts, high requirements for manuscripts and sharp eyes, and can see through your paper level at a glance. Second refusal is also a manifestation of rigorous and responsible work efficiency. Later, I joined chinese journal of oil crop sciences, and the peer reviewer of this journal was very responsible. I carefully revised the paper, and the inappropriate expressions in abstracts, charts and other places were marked and revised in detail, especially the wording in abstracts and other places was suddenly upgraded, which laid the foundation for my next journal. I also received a lot of valuable opinions when I contributed to journals such as Plant Protection. I am very grateful to the peer reviewers who worked hard behind many journals. Therefore, if you invest in a journal with a high academic level, your paper level will improve a lot in case you meet an enthusiastic reviewer.

I encountered two fake submission platforms when I submitted my manuscript. I searched the website of the journal on Baidu, filtered it and submitted my manuscript. Then I didn't hear from it for a month or two, and then I closed the page when I went in from this website. One of them was the submission of jiangsu journal of agricultural sciences, and there was no news for a long time after the submission, so I checked the telephone number of the editorial department online, and then I learned that they had changed the website, and I voted for the wrong platform. Therefore, if you don't receive the receipt information after submitting the manuscript, you should call as soon as possible to confirm whether the editorial department has received the manuscript, so as to avoid delaying the publication time of precious papers. Because of the recent revision of the paper, many data and opinions are still remembered. The longer it takes, the details such as data analysis will be forgotten, and it will be very difficult to correct it again. There is also a contribution to the journal Seed. I saw the submission link at Guizhou Seed Management Station, and I got an article number after submission, but I didn't receive the confirmation message. The website could not be opened one month after submission. Later, I asked my classmates in Guizhou about the telephone number and submission method of the editorial department of Seed, and I successfully submitted the manuscript. Therefore, if you don't receive an email from the editorial department after submitting the manuscript, you have to confirm whether you have submitted the wrong manuscript, so as to avoid wasting time like me.

if you want to submit papers for journals above CSCD, you must use international units, especially units with per mu yield. You should avoid converting units when analyzing and processing data at the beginning, so as to avoid too much workload in modifying the papers after they are submitted, and you should modify the data in the text and tables, and make drawings again, which is equivalent to starting all over again.

After an article was submitted to the person in charge of the office in Southwest Agricultural Journal, I haven't received any news of revision or rejection from the editorial department. During this period, I urged the person in charge many times, saying that I had received it and asked me to wait for editing and typesetting. After waiting for more than a year, I couldn't help it. I called the editorial department and said that I didn't receive the article and asked me to re-submit it from the online submission platform. Later, I actually received the news of changing to a supplement. Asked about the significance of setting up an office in the editorial department, no one answered. In this way, the submission journey of Southwest Agricultural Journal ended perfectly, and it will be bypassed in the future. Sadly, this paper, which has been drafted for a year and a half, is still in the long journey of submission. When or whether it can reach its destination is still unknown, because it is also a headache for me to revise it now, and many data analysis methods have long been forgotten.

if you submit to non-core journals with low impact factors, you don't need much revision, and you don't need a long time to receive the acceptance notice. If the experimental data is really low in gold content or the project is in urgent need of conclusion, you can quickly get a paper by submitting to these journals. However, if you want to contribute to a high-quality journal, according to my experience, it is a good choice to contribute to the Chinese core "Jiangsu Agricultural Sciences" and "CSCD acta agriculturae shanghai". The latter does not need the English annotation of references. The former does not need English except the title, abstract and keywords of the article, and the rest places do not need English. Without the English annotation of references, the workload of at least one day can be reduced. However, in the future, the submission requirements of journals will definitely tend to be consistent, and most journals will be as demanding and strict as those of China Agricultural Sciences. Therefore, it is necessary to know well in advance, and the writing format of papers should follow the highest standards and follow the trend, which will naturally improve the writing efficiency after getting used to it.
