What's the difference between a studio lamp and an umbrella lamp?
As the name implies, the room shadow lamp is used indoors, and the equipment is complicated and inconvenient to carry, but the photography effect is good. Studio lights are actually composed of high-power flash lights and modeling lights. Flash tubes are generally ring-shaped, and there is an interface in the center of the ring, which is used to shape lamps, such as quartz lamp and incandescent lamps. When the flash is not used, the modeling lamp can also be used as the lighting source for shooting. When the flash is used, the modeling lamp only plays the role of lighting and seeing the modeling effect. Some modeling lights are turned off when the flash flashes, and then turned on after the flash flashes, in order to prevent the color temperature of the modeling lights from interfering with the flash. But it is meaningless for quartz lamp and incandescent lamps to glow. If you are afraid that the modeling lamp will interfere with the color temperature, you can turn off the power supply of the modeling lamp and shoot after the light distribution is completed. The total power of room lights can be adjusted, with or without step adjustment and step adjustment. When there is a flash exposure meter, the former is easy to control the light effect, and when there is no flash exposure meter, it is more convenient to use the latter.
