He is a South African amphibian, reptile, photographer, filmmaker and writer, and is famous for filming the documentary austin stevens: The Deadest Snake.

Stevens was born in Pretoria, South Africa on 1950. /kloc-When he was 0/2 years old, he became interested in snakes. By the time he finished his research, he had collected exotic poisonous reptile species from all over the world.
Stevens' mother lost her lung in a car accident when she was a child, and then she often got sick. When Stevens was in his thirties, his mother died. His father was engaged in typewriter repair, and his grandfather, Austin James Stevens, was a pioneer of a motorcycle company from Bristol, England. He came to Africa from England by boat.
At the age of 0/9, austin stevens/Kloc-Stevens joined the army and became a soldier. He took part in the border war between South Africa and Angola. In the army, he is responsible for removing poisonous snakes. Stevens likes riding motorcycles and has developed a character of "going his own way". He gave up his motorcycle career because of the accident of 1974 World Motorcycle Competition, and then he became increasingly depressed. The animals in Transvaal Snake Park near Johannesburg ignited his passion for life. He spent six years of hard study, internship and training there and became a reptile.
After the war, the director of Transvaal Snake Park hired Austin to take care of the reptiles in the park. During his six years working in the snake garden, he received solid training and became a herpetologist. After that, he became keen on filming.
In order to raise funds and arouse public attention to the plight of African gorillas, Austin spent 107 days in a row with the most poisonous and deadly snakes in Africa, creating an amazing record. On the 96th day, a cobra bit Austin, but he persisted and finally had to be treated among the snakes. Despite her weak health, Austin finally completed the pioneering work of living with poisonous snakes 107 days and broke the world record.
