Fengchuan Ancient City, located at the southern foot of Beishan Mountain in Jiangkou Town, was built in the 14th year of Ming Dynasty (1450), and Chen Shunjian was built on the old site. Since then, the city has been the seat of the county government and has been repaired and rebuilt more than 20 times. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), the people's governments of Fengchuan County and Kaijian County used to work here.

/kloc-in the winter of 0/958, after Fengchuan and Deqing merged into the county, the local people built dikes to build roads, and the city site was repeatedly destroyed. Now only the south gate and the east-west wall (about 400 meters) are left. The south gate is arched and made of reddish-brown sandstone. The stone is 60 ~ 80 cm long, 20 ~ 30 cm wide and 14 ~ 18 cm thick. The arch is 3.05 ~ 3.7m wide, 3.2 ~ 3.76m high and 12.4m deep. The stone tablet of "Gufeng Prefecture" was originally embedded above the door. According to Fengchuan County Records, the ancient city faces mountains in the north, east and south. The southwest is bounded by mountains and rivers to the east and Xijiang River to the west. There is a moat in the north (more than 20 meters deep and about 10 meters wide), forming a "Hui"-shaped castle with moats in the east, west and south. The wall is rectangular, with a length of about 418m from east to west and about168m from north.

The wall is made of blue bricks, with a thickness of 4-5m and a height of 8-9m. The city brick is specially made, with a length of 34 cm, a width of 16.5 cm and a thickness of 6 cm, and the words "Fengchuan City Brick" are printed on the side. At first, the castle had three doors: the northeast gate, the west gate and the south gate. There are gates, towers, turrets, watchtowers and watchtowers on the city. There are more than 200 rooms, such as war windows, string houses and more shops. In addition, there are the county magistrate department, the academic affairs department, the discipline department, the historical records department, the city health department, the Wu Temple, the city God Temple, the longevity palace, the Changcang warehouse, and the prison.
