Examples of landscape photography

1, Zeng Han's surreal China.

Since 2004, photographer Zeng Han has been aiming at the city of China, which is in the process of urbanization transformation, and recorded those realistic scenery with a large-format camera, presenting a surreal impression.

The early creative way of Surreal China series is very direct. In most cases, Zeng Han will put the subject in a conspicuous position in the picture, so that the picture will have a specific visual center, and when watching the artificial landscape itself and its contrast with the environment, it will produce a sense of absurdity in reality. As a photographer with a background in news photography, Zeng Han's series of works also reflect his work style as a photojournalist: investigating information-investigating the scene-taking pictures. When shooting, he didn't have much emotion and was calm, but in many cases, being calm doesn't mean not thinking, but a way for him to criticize reality.

"Because the reality is amazing enough, you don't need any tricks anymore." Zeng Han once said.

2. Zhang

Zhang was born in Sichuan, 1980, and now lives and works in Chengdu. He has held solo exhibitions and group exhibitions in many contemporary art institutions at home and abroad.

? The name "Beiliuhuo" comes from the Book of Songs, which describes the flowing water of the Yellow River. Inspired by Zhang Chengzhi's River in the North, Zhang took the Yellow River and its surrounding objects, soil, people and feelings as narrative clues, and finally assembled 50 landscape portrait series. This group of works far exceeds the artist's social record of scenery through the medium of camera, and is more like a solo pilgrimage, full of enthusiasm, obsession and exploration.
