Sleep "meridian sleep"

The so-called meridian sleep means falling asleep on time at noon and noon every day, "sleeping at noon and taking a nap at noon".

There is a saying in Huangdi Neijing, an ancient book of traditional Chinese medicine: "Yang exhaustion leads to lying down, while Yin exhaustion leads to fainting." When yin is strong, you sleep; when yang is strong, you wake up. The monks in the temple live a life of morning bells and drums. Even in winter, they don't get up before 6 o'clock in the morning. In spring, summer and autumn, they get up before 5 o'clock in the morning.

From the point of view of human health, getting up early is beneficial to human metabolism, enhancing immunity and fighting against virus invasion. In addition, 7: 00 am to 9: 00 am is the most active time for human digestion and absorption, and it is the "golden time" for nutrient absorption. Therefore, we should get some sleep and get up early.

Don't be sleepy.

For ordinary people, sleep should not be too much, for practitioners, sleep time is less. Buddha said that the five desires are wealth, color, fame, food and sleep, also called five covers. What is a cover? That is, covering, covering and blocking people's wisdom and moral ability are the five obstacles to practice, so the weaker these five things are, the better.

There is a saying in the "Dabaoji Classic": "There are twenty kinds of sleep mistakes, so we should observe them. If you observe. It can make the bodhisattva initiate diligence and enjoy it tirelessly. Maitreya. What is the name of the cloud? I am willing to sleep twenty times. One is lazy and the other is lazy. Both are heavy. The three colors are haggard. Four diseases. Five fire circles are weak. Six can't digest it. Seven of them have ulcers and blisters. Eight people don't practice hard. Nine increases stupidity. Ten are wise and bad. 1 1 case of dark and turbid skin. Twelve is inhuman and disrespectful. Thirteen silly. Fourteen troubles are bound. Fifteen people sleep with their hearts. 16 people are dissatisfied with the law. 17. white legal obstacles. Eighteen people do bad things. Nineteen people hate diligence. Twenty is contemptuous. "

Therefore, we should go to bed at the right time and get up early. We should not lie in bed, which will harm our health and make mistakes.

Sleep in the right posture.

If you always can't sleep, sleep restlessly, wake up during sleep or have nightmares, you can try to learn from the Buddha's sleeping position-"auspicious lying".

"auspicious position" is a Buddhist practice posture, which means lying on the right side. The Buddha said that the third parade of the Dragon Agama Volume recorded: "At that time, the Buddha died of the fourth dead Sangha pear, and his right armpit was like a teacher, and he was tired." It shows that Sakyamuni lies on the right side, and many reclining buddhas in the world also lie on the right side.

First, "lying on the right side is called auspicious lying." When you sleep, lie on your right side, and your feet should be slightly bent and put away.

Second, the right thumb is pressed behind the earlobe bead, and the palm is placed in front of the ear, so that the physiological qi and blood will extend from the back up, even if you are sleeping, you are still in a state of hard training.

Third, the tongue tops the palate, just like the revision, the tongue tops the palate and resists. Make a pillow with your right hand, put it under your head, and put your left hand on your body, so lying on your right side is auspicious.

Sleeping in this way can make your body stable, without disturbance, and you won't sleep too hard at night, and it's not easy to have nightmares. Remember this posture when you sleep.
