The major of film and television photography and production in sichuan university of media and communications (School of Radio, Film and Television, Chengdu University of Technology) is a newly-established major in the Department of Photography. This major refers to the film education system of higher film and television colleges at home and abroad, and combines the teaching characteristics of our college to form an overall teaching system of photography, directing, recording and editing to educate students professionally.

This major is oriented to film and television system, press and publication, commercial advertising, online animation and other related industries, and trains applied composite media talents who are engaged in film and television drama creation, news documentary and TV program production, with professional theoretical knowledge, technical skills and innovative spirit of photography production.

At present, the major of film and television photography and production has two professional film studios and three professional film lighting studios, and has world-class film production equipment such as arri alex Ai Lisha camera, red epic film camera, Apple post-production workstation and Da Vinci color matching system, and is committed to building the largest teaching practice base and creative practice base in Southwest China.

The main courses offered by this major are: introduction to art, film aesthetics, journalism, color science, photography technology, photographic composition, high-definition camera shooting, recording basis, audio-visual language, appreciation of film and television works, director basis, off-line editing, digital program production, film and television lighting art, dynamic composition, three-dimensional animation design, film and television photography art, documentary creation, advertisement and mv creation, film and television creation, etc.
