An overview of Dai Xiang's characters

Artist Dai Xiang is one of the representatives of contemporary "conceptual photography" in China. 1978 was born in Tianjin, and in 20001graduated from Oriental Culture and Art Department of Nankai University, majoring in Chinese painting. In 2004, he studied in Photography and Digital Media Studio of Central Academy of Fine Arts. Artists now live and work in Tianjin and Beijing. Creative media involves painting, video and so on. His works have been exhibited in China, the United States, Canada and France, and have been collected by many French institutions and private individuals. The main representative works are The Riverside Scene in the New Qingming Festival and The Story of the New Lei Feng. The former was first exhibited at Lianzhou International Photography Festival in 20 14. After the work was reported by the media, it became popular overnight on the Internet, causing widespread concern and discussion from all walks of life.

The work also won the highest honor of the exhibition "New Photography Award of the Year". Dai Xiang also entered the power list "Cultural Jianghu 100 People" of the 20 14 Cultural Yearbook judged by Southern Metropolis Daily, which also included Mo Yan, Han Han, Cui Jian and Bing Xu 100 literary and art celebrities.
