What is a QR code? Where is it? How to use it?

The QR code on mobile phone and computer is being set, just search on the home page.

QR code is a kind of two-dimensional bar code. QR comes from the abbreviation of "Quick Response" in English, which means quick response. It comes from the inventor's hope that the two-dimensional code can quickly decode its content. Two-dimensional code can store more data than ordinary bar code, and there is no need to arrange the scanner in a straight line like ordinary bar code.

The QR code is square, only black and white. On three of the four corners, a small square pattern similar to the word "Hui" is printed. These three patterns are used to help the decoding software locate, so the user does not need to align them, and the data can still be read correctly regardless of scanning at any angle.

Application of two-dimensional code

The two-dimensional code was originally designed to facilitate the automobile factory to trace parts. Nowadays, QR codes have been widely used in inventory management of all walks of life. Users can also access the data in the QR code through a personal computer with RS-232C interface and decoding program, and connect with a scanner or camera, which is very suitable for enterprise applications in the fields of inventory management, food logistics, contact lenses, clothing and so on.

The application of QR codes in Japan and South Korea is becoming more and more popular, among which the contribution of NTT Docomo in Japan has to be mentioned. The built-in QR code decoding software of its mobile phone allows more consumers to understand and use the service based on QR code, and China Mobile has also launched the offline service of QR code, which makes the QR code move from enterprise-level application to civilian life. It is foreseeable that in the near future, QR codes will be closer to the lives of ordinary people.
