Plot summary

Fengjie County, where the Three Gorges construction work is underway, welcomes two Shanxi residents, a man and a woman. Man Han Sanming is a loyal and honest coal miner from Fenyang. He came to Fengjie to find his wife whom he had not seen for sixteen years. He bought his wife with money back then and ran back to Fengjie after giving birth to the child.
