The advantages of laser cameras are really obvious, and the disadvantages of infrared cameras are also outstanding. But it doesn't mean that the laser machine has no shortcomings and the infrared machine has no advantages. It is impossible to say that the laser will completely replace the infrared machine for a long time. First of all, because of the use of laser light source and zoom lens, the expensive price of laser surveillance camera is one of the most important factors that hinder its popularization. Secondly, because of the long monitoring distance and relatively small viewing angle, more laser cameras are needed for large-scale monitoring, so laser cameras are mainly used with ordinary infrared cameras to make up for the shortage of long-distance monitoring. The third point is about the close-range laser camera. Because the brightness of the laser lamp itself is too strong, the short-range irradiation effect will be poor. This is a common problem in the industry. Although some close-range products have been listed gradually, the effect is not ideal, mainly because the core technology is not in place. This also hindered its market popularization to a great extent.

Compared with the high price of laser machine, infrared machine also has its advantages, such as relatively affordable price, continuous progress in technology, and infrared machine in line with China's national conditions. Even in economically developed countries, laser cameras cannot be popularized, so there is still a long way to go to popularize laser cameras in China.
