Behind the scenes:

The film was shot by Andy Lau's Magnificent Film Company and co-starred with the popular Japanese idol artist Takako Tokiwa. Since the film is Andy Lau's 100th film career Movies are particularly significant.

Andy Lau plays a Muay Thai fighter in the film. Before the filming of the film, he specially trained his figure to be very muscular. Unfortunately, Andy only realized their figure when he visited Thailand to visit the professional boxers. Turns out to be very slender. In order to achieve a realistic look, Andy Lau had to lose weight quickly within two weeks and train with famous local boxers to finally achieve his ideal body shape. When filming the boxing scenes, he personally participated in the whole process. Although it was quite hard, he still insisted on continuing for the sake of effect. The audience Takako Tokiwa was even more stunned and praised Andy's professional fighting spirit.

Takako Tokiwa had previously co-starred with Leslie Cheung in "Fairy Tales of the Stars and Moon", and the reason why she took over the filming of "A Hu" this time was mainly because she admired Andy and the script and character were very attractive. In the film, Tokiwa needed to be proficient in four languages: Japanese, English, Thai, and Chinese, so whenever she had time, she would sit in a corner and recite dialogues by herself. Her attitude was very serious, and she was indeed highly praised.

"Ahu" has been highly anticipated before it was officially released. The movie is very popular in the Southeast Asian film market. In Japan alone, the purchase price is as high as eight digits. Compared with international movies, Movies by great director Wong Kar-Wai sell for higher prices, so the cost of the movie has already been recouped before it is released.
