What is the light on a sunny day? Photography knowledge

The light source of sunny days is the sun, which is the luminous body and the brightest of all light sources. Sunlight is direct light (concentrated light), and its nature belongs to hard light. During the day, the intensity and color temperature of sunlight constantly change with different angles from the ground and different paths through the atmosphere. Mastering this rule is of great significance to photographers. According to the angle between the sun and the ground, the change of sunlight in a day is described in four moments as follows:

First moment: 0- 15 degrees. Called sunrise and sunset. At this time, the lighting characteristics of natural light are:

① The color temperature of sunlight is low and the color temperature of skylight is high. The light that illuminates the scene is cold and warm. Because the sun has a long journey through the atmosphere, blue light with shorter wavelength is diffused by the atmosphere, and only red light with longer wavelength is transmitted. So the sun at this time is orange-red, and its color temperature is about 2500K-3500K, which is equivalent to the color temperature of tungsten lamps. If you add a 5600K color filter and balance it with white light, the picture will be orange-red and the atmosphere will be obvious in the morning and evening. Because the color temperature of sunlight is low, the color temperature of skylight is high, the light receiving surface is warm, the background surface is cold, the contrast between cold and warm is obvious, and the scenery is rich in color.

(2) The light projection angle is low, the scene projection is long, and the vertical light intensity in the horizontal plane is strong. It has a strong and obvious aerial perspective effect. Its long projection is often a favorable factor for composition;

(3) Sometimes, rosy clouds appear in the sky, and under the irradiation of the sun's backlight, they present attractive scenes in different forms. At this time, the sun is often the subject, so it is easy to take artistic photos;

(4) Soft light, small light ratio and warm and cold color temperature are the best time to take lyric pictures;

⑤ This moment is characterized by short time and fast light change (brightness and color temperature), which is difficult to master. Usually only one or two shots of the atmosphere can be taken. This moment, because of the above characteristics, is called the effect light moment, and some people call it the golden moment of photography.

The second moment:15-60 or so.

The light at this moment has the characteristics of relatively stable spectral components, small brightness change, normal contrast and long duration, which is called normal luminous moment. This moment is the moment when the number of shots in movies and TV plays is the largest. Secondly, at this moment, there is no obvious difference between the horizontal and vertical illumination of the scene. The medium light ratio is about 1: 4- 1: 8, and the color temperature is about 5500 K-5600 K.

The third moment: about 60-90 degrees.

This moment is called the top light moment. The sun shines directly, and the summer in the south is almost perpendicular to the ground. The contrast of the sun is strong. At this time, it is top lighting, which is generally not suitable for close-ups of people. Because of the light overhead, the actor's face will be distorted. Some distant shots can also be taken at this moment.

The fourth moment: below 0 degrees, this moment is called dusk (or dawn or dusk). The lighting characteristics of this moment are:

(1) The sun didn't rise or fall, but the shadows on the ground were all illuminated by the sky. The sky is the brightest part, which is both the light source and the subject. At this time, the contrast between the sky and the ground is great. Its brightness range greatly exceeds the exposure tolerance of film or camera. When shooting, if the exposure is made according to the sky, the ground scenery will be silhouette (no hierarchy). If you focus on the scenery, you can stack the scenery in the sky at a lower angle and have a clear outline;

② This time is the ideal time for shooting night scenes. Shooting night scenes with the sky is often shot at this moment. The main light of the character should be higher than or equal to the brightness of the sky, and artificial light should be used as a subsidy. Good night scene effect can be obtained;

(3) At this time, the brightness of the sky changes very quickly. When the brightness of the sky can't reach the minimum brightness value of the camera or film, you can only shoot night scenes without the sky. Otherwise, the sky will be dark. At this moment, the sky is bright at the source or setting point of the sun (that is, early east and late west), so the shooting angle should be considered.

The clear sky is a scattering light source formed by atmospheric particles scattering sunlight. When passing through the atmosphere, blue light with shorter wavelength loses more, so it appears blue. If sunlight is the main light, skylight is the auxiliary light. It illuminates the shadow part of the subject, so the shadow part is blue. The contrast between the main light and the auxiliary light is related to the brightness of the sky. When the sky is blue, the brightness is low and the contrast is high. When there are thin clouds, the brightness is high and the contrast is small.

On a clear day, the projection formed by an object is always opposite to the direction of the light source, and the projection length is inversely proportional to the height of the sun. Large-area projection will form a shadow area without direct sunlight, only the sky shines, and the brightness is generally 2-3 blocks lower than that of the sunshine area. The light in the shadow is scattered light, and shooting in the shadow area will also be formed due to the influence of ambient light? The contrast between light and shade is small.

There is no bad light, only bad choice and use. Light that can help the theme is the best light. There is no bad light, only bad choice and use. Light that can help the theme is the best light. The second floor is right: you can take pictures in any weather. The key is to grasp the light.
