Except for some zoos in China, only Xishuangbanna can ride elephants.

Xishuangbanna has a famous primeval forest park, which is one of the largest comprehensive eco-tourism attractions in Xishuangbanna. The park combines the unique natural scenery of virgin forest with charming ethnic customs. There are many wild animals in the park, including elephants.

Xishuangbanna: Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, located at the southernmost tip of Yunnan Province in People's Republic of China (PRC), is a minority autonomous prefecture under the jurisdiction of Yunnan Province.

Xishuangbanna has the only tropical rain forest nature reserve in China, with warm and humid climate, lush trees and twisted vines. Many rare birds and animals, such as Asian elephants, hornbills, peacocks and black-crowned gibbons, live in this tropical jungle. Among the rare plants endemic to Xishuangbanna, there are Cephalotaxus, Red Tree, Yunnan Nutmeg, Taoerqi, Hutong, Maywood and Cephalotaxus Cephalotaxus.
