Why do elephants go to garbage dumps to find food?

Elephants go to the garbage dump for food because of hunger, and the living environment of animals is worrying.

On September 10, photographer Somnath Das recently recorded a shocking scene in a forest in West Bengal. There are several hungry wild elephants looking for food in the garbage dump discarded by human beings. There are a lot of dirty plastic bags in the garbage dump, and even used female products.

These elephants are scratching around in the garbage, trying to find something to eat, but obviously, everything here is unsanitary. Once the elephant eats it, it is not difficult to imagine what harm it will do to them. Somnath said that even though the use of plastic bags has been banned there, there are still a lot of polyethylene bags and a lot of domestic garbage in that piece of garbage, and it is impossible to determine whether the elephant ate the garbage with bacteria casually.

Somnath recorded all these sad and worrying scenes, and wanted everyone to see that human beings have seriously damaged the habitat of wild animals. Those elephants don't know what plastic bags are, but they can smell the food in them when they are hungry.

Seeing these photos, everyone will realize that their actions may have a devastating impact on other creatures. Somnath also hopes that human beings can handle their garbage responsibly, and don't throw garbage into farmland in the mountains, which is also responsible for other lives.

Protecting the environment is indeed a top priority. If the food chain in the biological world is destroyed, human beings will bear all the consequences themselves.
