Virtual Reality Lab was established in 2004. Focusing on the huge demand of China's economic construction, social development and scientific and technological progress, the laboratory systematically studies the relevant theories and methods of virtual reality, which provides a real three-dimensional stereoscopic vision measurable surface environment platform completely different from the previous two-dimensional plane environment for urban planning and regional design, virtual buildings, architectural lighting occlusion analysis, and urban pipe network design and management. This platform is a supernatural 3D geographic information system (supernatural GIS) developed by Beijing Siwei Yuan Jian Information Technology Co., Ltd., and won the first prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award of 200 1.
The laboratory has established a good software and hardware environment and conditions for virtual reality research and development. At present, the room area is more than 200 square meters, and advanced software and hardware research platforms with a total value of nearly 300,000 yuan, such as large-screen display system, modeling software, stereo projector and graphic workstation, have successively undertaken the development and production of digital Jiaozuo and Henan Polytechnic University digital campus three-dimensional landscape roaming system. Its technical breakthrough and demonstration application have promoted the development of virtual reality technology in other industries in China, especially in digital cities and digital mines. At present, it is a laboratory with a certain scale and considerable influence in China with virtual reality technology as its main research goal.
At the same time, the laboratory fully meets the teaching needs of our college and provides a strong guarantee for the experimental teaching of cartography, geographic information system, spatial analysis, spatial information query, topological relationship analysis and three-dimensional geoscience model research.
Digital photogrammetry laboratory
Digital Photogrammetry Laboratory was established in 2004, with 1 1 full digital photogrammetry workstation-JX-4CDPS. JX-4C DPS is a set of microcomputer digital photogrammetry workstation with strong practicability, good man-machine interaction function and strong product quality control technology. Facing the production of high-precision and high-density DEM and high-quality DOM and DLG, the automation and digitalization of photogrammetry technology are solved. Its application and popularization in surveying and mapping industry has brought about a profound revolution in photogrammetry production from basic concept, equipment, production process to organization and management, and greatly improved the production efficiency of photogrammetry.
Using the principle of computer pattern recognition and stereo vision, we can automatically identify the frame mark and "image points with the same name" (image matching) and automatically extract three-dimensional spatial information, thus realizing semi-automation and automation of photogrammetry production. Using "computer+digital photogrammetry software" to form a digital photogrammetry workstation instead of various "traditional" photogrammetry is very accurate and expensive, and most of them rely on imported photoelectric instruments. Features: 1, the system is fully functional. The system not only contains all the functions that traditional photogrammetry instruments can accomplish, but also can realize the functions that traditional photogrammetry cannot. The system can not only process aerial photography images, but also process space images. 2. The system has a high degree of automation. Automatic orientation, automatic aerial triangulation, automatic DEM production, etc. 3. The system has high efficiency, which is five to ten times higher than the traditional method. Digital photogrammetry system can be used in surveying and mapping, geology, environment and resources investigation, water conservancy, planning, transportation, agriculture, forestry, military and other departments that need three-dimensional terrain information.
The laboratory is officially opened to the outside world, which provides a strong guarantee for teachers and students of our school to carry out digital photogrammetry teaching and research. At present, the laboratory is systematically studying the relevant theories and methods of digital photogrammetry, focusing on breaking through the frontier key technologies, independently developing digital photogrammetry development tools and platforms, developing digital photogrammetry demonstration application systems, gathering and cultivating high-level innovative talents, and striving to build a first-class and well-known digital photogrammetry technology research institution in China.
Brief Introduction of Surveying and Mapping Center Laboratory
The laboratory of Surveying and Mapping Center is the experimental teaching base of all related majors in the school, and it is also an important base for experimental teaching and scientific research of undergraduates and postgraduates in Surveying and Mapping College. Undertake the task of surveying experiment teaching for 25 courses of Surveying and Mapping Engineering and non-Surveying and Mapping Engineering and 12 major. At present, the laboratory area is 1584.306 square meters, and the total value of instruments and equipment is over 7 million yuan. In addition to conventional optical measuring instruments and equipment, it also has various international and domestic first-class modern precision measuring instruments and equipment, including: GPS 1 1 set, and 48 precision total stations. Electronic theodolite 6 1, precision gyro theodolite 7, gyro total station 2, digital photogrammetry workstation 1 1, remote sensing image processing software and GIS software, digital mapping software, etc. Advanced instruments and equipment and perfect management system provide a solid foundation for cultivating outstanding undergraduate and graduate students.
The laboratory of Surveying and Mapping Center follows a moderate scale of development, expands its research direction according to the needs of discipline development, and continuously introduces high-level talents. There are 7 fixed staff in the laboratory, including senior engineer 1 person, senior experimenter 1 person, and 3 people with master's degree or above. At present, the laboratories under the Surveying and Mapping Center are: general surveying laboratory, surveying and mapping room, all-digital photogrammetry laboratory, aerial photogrammetry laboratory, virtual reality laboratory, surveying and mapping instrument showroom and calculation center.
In recent years, the laboratory of Surveying and Mapping Center has given full play to the advantages of various resources, actively taken the road of combining production, learning and research, and combined practical teaching with production and scientific research, and achieved excellent results. The main projects carried out are:
1. Jiaozuo cadastral renewal survey project was completed by using small digital aerial photogrammetry.
2. The construction of GPS network in suburban mines of Yongcheng Coal and Electricity Group, through the survey of main wells and north wind wells, digital topographic mapping of industrial square and building monitoring of industrial square.
3. Surveying and mapping of Jiaozuo urban area 1: 500 digital real estate map.
4. The digitalization project of geological map of suburban mines of Yongcheng Coal and Electricity Group.
5. Overall land use planning of Jiaozuo, Xinxiang, Qinyang, Aibo, wen county, Yichuan and Yiyang.
