Does Apple have a video recorder running in the background?

Apple has a software called ScreenFlow. It can run in the background.

ScreenFlow can record screens on all Macs loaded with OS X operating system, and the operation is very simple.

Press the default hotkey "Command+Shift+2" to start recording, with a countdown of 5 seconds. If you want to finish recording, just press the same hotkey.

Find "Save" under the file menu in the menu bar and save it directly as a file with suffix. Screen stream format for later editing. 2.
