Which is better, Donghua University's fashion design or coming to college?

I was a science class in high school and applied to China Textile University, the predecessor of Donghua University, out of sheer interest. Graduated from garment engineering in the early 1990s, worked as a contract manager in a domestic factory, a designer in a domestic garment company, and engaged in grassroots work such as garment marketing in an American brand company for 20 years, during which China Europe Business School studied EMBA courses. In recent years, I returned to Beijing, the city where I was born, and spent nearly 30 years in the circle. Today, I can say that the pressure has been great, only to find that this is a business that needs constant learning and practice.

As far as the choice of courses is concerned, it depends on which field you will work in in the future and your economic ability.

Raffles' curriculum structure is clear and optimized, and it is practical and unnecessary. It is a very good entry point for the clothing industry for the graduates outlets to connect with internationally renowned companies, and they have the opportunity to cooperate with the world's top teams. Different from domestic universities, foreign universities pay equal attention to learning and practice. Setting up an undergraduate course for three years only means the beginning of practice, and professional learning should come from real guns. Foreign designers do everything from fabric design, fashion design, dance design, interior design and even business model design. What I appreciate more is the combination of leniency and severity and the superior environment. This is the attitude that education should have.

Donghua University's undergraduate course is still very advantageous in China, and its curriculum design is comprehensive and focused. Enrollment is screened, and design majors enroll students according to fine arts, which requires higher painting. The enrollment of engineering students by science involves every link of the clothing industry chain. Textile design is put forward separately. In fact, clothing is a systematic discipline that pays equal attention to art and science. We should not only understand textiles, but also clothing, and also have a certain cultural literacy. In addition to specialized fashion illustrations and fashion photography, designers who don't understand technology and plate making can only talk on paper. Students who apply for Donghua should have the intention to work in East China. Many of our classmates who go back to their hometown don't even have a day's work experience in the industry. Maybe the status quo is much better. When I returned to Beijing after graduation, I didn't work right at first and was excluded. With great effort, I finally settled down in a foreign company.

The domestic clothing market environment is very different from that of foreign countries, such as lifestyle, cultural differences and consumption concepts. Consumers' clothing literacy needs constant guidance and improvement. We need a large number of designers to meet the world's largest clothing consumer market.
