Some suggestions on shooting architectural photography
Use reflection or reflection to enhance aesthetic feeling.
The immovability of the building may make everyone feel that "there is no filming." However, as long as you turn around from different angles, you can make the building have a completely different visual sense. Among them, "reflection" and "reflection" are the most commonly used.
If we take architectural glass as the focus of framing, we must first have keen observation. If you have selected a building as the shooting object, you can walk around several times, find some places where you can shoot by reflection, wait for the best opportunity after the landscape investigation, and shoot after the light and other conditions are met.
The use of pools or stagnant water to present symmetrical reflection effects is also suitable for architectural photography. Take the reflection of the pool as an example, try to shoot in a windless environment to avoid being blurred by the current.
Make good use of geometric lines
The smooth outline of the building is a good starting point for photography. The geometric lines mentioned here can be roughly divided into "external lines of buildings" and "internal geometric lines".
Architectural appearance line
When shooting, you can look for scenic spots along the external lines of the building, so that the viewer can introduce the picture along the lines. Take the Great Wall in the following picture as an example. Starting from the photo frame, the winding lines extend to the far side of the picture until the gorgeous clouds show their magnificent momentum.
Internal geometric line
As for shooting the lines inside the building, it can generally show the width of the internal space of the building and can be used in modern new buildings, churches, airports and so on. A large number of geometric lines may be disorganized at first glance, but as long as you observe them carefully, you can find their laws and shoot a satisfactory side.
Set off by artificial light source
What is an artificial light source? In fact, it is simply to use night lighting (such as neon lights, building lights, long exposure light rails, etc.). ) to set off the building itself and enrich the visual elements of light in the picture. Generally speaking, when shooting this kind of works, we should pay attention to the exposure balance and use a tripod to fix the shooting to avoid image shaking. Take the following picture as an example, using light traces and street lamps to enhance warm colors for cold buildings and increase the contrast between dynamic and static pictures.
Looking for points of interest
You may encounter a narrow building complex, and due to the limitation of viewing angle, you can't take a full picture. But we can change our thinking and start from the side. The detail of the building itself is also an important point that can express the building, and it can express the whole from the part. In addition, by raising the head to create a strong visual impact, it can also arouse the interest of the viewer. Generally speaking, when looking for points of interest as a shooting technique, it requires high personal observation. On weekdays, it is best to read more books, observe the surroundings and hone your photographic eyes.
Overlooking creates a sense of depth.
Looking into the distance, Deng Huachu's night scene is really charming. Generally, you only need to find a building high enough to show these effects by shooting from top to bottom. However, if it is so simple, it is really too small to look down on photography. Because most high-rise buildings can only be photographed indoors, we have to consider the reflection of indoor light sources and find a suitable shooting angle to get satisfactory works. Suggestion: it is best to shoot the lens close to the glass, or cooperate with the reflector to avoid glass reflection.
Shooting fun of alternative creativity
Perhaps when photography was invented, people would never have thought that there would be so many different photography techniques today. HDR, axis shift effect, panoramic mosaic, fisheye distortion ... Photography has broken through the traditional concept, who can predict its future development? This last skill depends on where your mind can spread!
