Rehe, referred to as Rehe, is the provincial capital of Chengde City. It is one of the provinces in China's old administrative divisions and one of the four northeastern provinces outside the Guanhai Pass. The Jehol Special Zone was established in January of the third year of the Republic of China (1914), and was officially reorganized into a province in September of the seventeenth year of the Republic of China (1928). Canceled on July 30, 1955. The jurisdiction is distributed in the present Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Hebei Province, and Liaoning Province.
