China's Yunying UAV, known as the carrier killer, aims to break the air defense network. Who knows this drone?

Yunying UAV is a large-scale high-altitude stealth multifunctional UAV developed by China Cheng Fei Group. 9.05 meters long, wingspan 17.8 meters. It is another export-oriented UAV launched by Cheng Fei Group after the pterosaur series. Compared with the rainbow series and pterosaur drones popular in China before, Yunying UAV has three main characteristics.

First, the flying speed and flying height are high. Pterosaur and Rainbow UAV both use propeller as power source, and the characteristic speed and altitude of propeller-driven aircraft are low. All belong to low-altitude drones, flying below 6000 meters. Yunying UAV uses turbojet-1 1C engine as its main power, so its cruising altitude is above14000m, and its flying speed reaches 620 km/h, which is more than 200 km/h higher than that of Rainbow and Pterosaur.

The biggest advantage of high-altitude UAV is that it is much less threatened by portable shoulder-launched surface-to-air missiles, especially for forces with poor air defense capabilities such as terrorists and guerrillas, its survivability and effectiveness are much better.

Secondly, Yunying UAV has certain stealth capability, especially the Global Hawk, which looks like the United States, so it was initially mistaken for the China version of the strategic reconnaissance UAV. The higher the flight altitude, the easier it is to be found by long-range ground radar when the horizon is lost and the terrain is covered. Using stealth modeling can make up for this shortcoming.

Third, Yunying drones can attack in groups. There are three types of unmanned aerial vehicles: image reconnaissance, electronic reconnaissance and reconnaissance. Image reconnaissance uses cameras and SAR synthetic aperture radar to obtain optical and radar images of targets. Electronic reconnaissance can locate the position of enemy radar and radio communication equipment, and can implement interference; Chad's body was armed and attacked the target. These three types of UAVs can attack in groups to achieve a variety of operational effectiveness.

It can be said that Yunying UAV is the most versatile and best-performing UAV in the international market at present. But labeling this drone as an "aircraft carrier killer" is sheer nonsense. If it's so strong, why not equip it yourself? Direct export? And it hasn't been sold yet

From the performance point of view, Yunying UAV is not enough to reach the level of "breaking the air defense network". Although Yunying UAV has a certain stealth capability by adopting a shape similar to that of rq-4, the stealth performance of this shape alone may not be reassuring. If nothing else, in June 2009, Iran shot down an American rq-4. It can be seen that this configuration is not satisfactory in the face of Iran's air defense level, and it wants to pass the air defense network of the US aircraft carrier formation. What's more, the weapon mounting of Chad integrated cloud shadow UAV is mounted under the wing in the form of weapon plug-in, and the weapon is directly exposed to the outside, which completely destroys the stealth.

The weapon plug-in mode used by Yunying is not satisfactory in stealth attack.

Therefore, personally, Yunying UAV is only suitable for dealing with troops with certain air defense capabilities, but their air defense capabilities are still weak, such as the Yemeni Houthi armed forces. They shot down several Rainbow -4 and MQ-9 Death planes with portable air defense missiles such as crossbows -6 and needles. If these low-altitude drones use high-altitude cloud shadow drones, this threat can be ignored.
