Baodu Village is built on the cliff at the southern foot of Taihang Mountain, with only seven families. It is not a tourist attraction, but many people come here every year. They are all donkey friends and photographers who are not afraid of hardship.

During the May Day holiday, I came to the village with the donkey friends group and the people who came here. After six or seven hours' trekking, it was already night and I stayed in the village for one night.

Although all seven farmers have opened farmhouses, and they are Datong stores, every kang is full of people, but in the peak season, it is hard to find a bed. No reservation in advance, no beds at all. It's impossible to get a single room here.

Most donkey friends bring their own tents and camp in the wild.

Although the village is small, it has a long history. According to the inscription in the village, Baodu Village was built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. They are all built of stone, including stone houses, stone floors, stone walls, stone mills, benches, stone furnaces, stone troughs and so on. This is a veritable stone village.

Baodu village is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with water as its neighbor, built by mountains and densely populated. There is only one sheep farm path called ladder.

Is such a beautiful village convenient in transportation or rugged? I think the biggest feature of Baodu Village is the difficulty in getting in and out. Anyone comes here to "enjoy hardships".

What about daily life? The villagers said that a hoist is installed on the cliff and an iron cage is welded. It is 800 meters above sea level and can lift 800 kilograms of goods at a time. Buy things, hire a tricycle from Henan to pull it into the ravine, and then lift it down from the cliff.

Never build roads. If the roads are clear, the characteristics of this village will be destroyed. Maintaining a pure land can be described as a paradise.
