Digital archiving means to archive and record cultural relics and other resources by means of digital technology. On July 27th, 2020, Yuanmingyuan and Peking University Institute of Archaeology and Culture started the digital archiving of stone carvings. By means of three-dimensional scanning, photogrammetry and panoramic photography, the Yuanyingguan and Dashuifa sites were comprehensively recorded. In the future, the archived sites can form virtual three-dimensional images to be displayed on the Internet, and visitors can "palm read" through their mobile phones, thus achieving an immersive effect.
